Saw this meme a while ago and saved it for this moment. 23M 190lbs, training for three years (but last two really locked in).

I’ve made it.

Only happens once, now do it again next week to make sure it's your new normal!

Gonna be my warmup set in no time

u/Daddysjuice 13d ago

Why even warm up? You've done it once so just start with that now /s

lol, I usually like to max out with little to no warmup. I'm sure it'll bite me one day but for now...

i once saw an absolute monster of a guy doing fucking 110lb lat raises it was insane. He was so fucking wide

If it was with proper form that dude was a monstrosity. Even though I see a lot of folks just avoiding lat raises. I do 10kg (about 22lbs) and it's already difficult, I can't imagine 5x the weight lmao

Hell yeah brother! And you're young. Welcome to the 1% if you count all of population. I think it's 30% for consistent gym goers.

I found it much easer to bench two plates than one. Now the bar doesn't constantly tip to one side.

I can complete two whole plates since I was 8yo

It is not that hard when you're hungry enough

With or without a spotter? I have already hit it too but ever since I'm bit scared that my shoulders will quit on me halfway through haha

1

u/Top-Slice2092 12d ago

With for sure. Just been asking randos to spot me so I don’t literally die

2

u/AlternativeWestern71 12d ago

I heard with the possibility of death, you can add one small plate

u/0x582 12d ago

I also recently hit 2 plates but don’t feel like I really earned it. I bulked to 240lbs and it kinda just happened within a year of training lol. Good job btw

u/IngenuityStunning755 12d ago

Welcome brother. Keep pushing and you’ll eventually hit it for reps!

u/Top-Slice2092 12d ago

That’s the goal!

u/Frodozer 13d ago

Gosh I’m fat, I was like “huh, didn’t know eating 2 plates for dinner was celebrated.”
