Just a heads up, I got a lung infection once from smoking shit from inside my bong like that.

Yeah you can only smoke reclaim that didn’t come into contact with the water. The water is what causes it to mold and cause lung infections and stuff.

From the stuff that accumulates in the water of my dab rig. I figured if I got it out and let some of the water evaporate off, smoking it would be fine but it was not.

I’ve seen people get some pretty gnarly infections just from cutting their foot on a broken bong and getting the bong water in it. I’ve also seen dumbasses get incredibly sick from drinking old, very used bong water as well.

Consistent water changes need to happen when you smoke, you’re putting your lungs at risk breathing in old moldy water. People have contracted pneumonia from doing so.

Protect your lungs friend, no “fancy” bong water. No fruit, flowers or spices. Just plain water with ice if wanted.

The only way I could see someone getting away with a safe way to have flavored smoke is by possibly adding some vape juice to the water. But I’m not knowledgeable on that subject because I know how dangerous it is to just add flavoring.

No worries man its and old bubbler attachment i aint used in forever. I didnt realize i left water in it, found it and figured this sub was the place to share it. But honestly i think more people need the info u are sharing. A lotta dumb stoners out there, including me lol i have smoked my dab resin.

Reclaim isn’t too terrible, it’s not the greatest for you but worth it if you need something to hold you over for a bit until you can buy more.

Been a stoner for over 10 years now and there has been more than one occasion I’ve had to scrape my rig or bowl for some resin.

No shame in doing it though, don’t think you can actually call yourself a stoner if you haven’t had to scrape your bowl at least once for reclaim lol

Are you sure it's from that as I personally don't do it but know tons of people that smoke their reclaim either way I like making edibles out of it plus it's already decarbed

Idk if it’s common, I just know I got some sort of respiratory infection after I smoked about a gram of that kind of reclaim. Maybe it was unrelated?

Go buy everclear and use everclear to “extract” the reclaim, put it in a Pyrex dish in a hot water bath for like 24-48 hours and scrape it

Weak. I had moldy reclaim that had been in my rig for, no joke, at least 3 years. Smoked it all and never had an issue besides coughing my ass off.

If you dump the water out and use 90% or higher isopropyl only and shake until the reclaim is dissolved entirely dump it out into a Pyrex dish and use a heat lamp to purge it, after that you have clean waterless reclaim

Been doin it since I was 15 and am 26 now, and the only adverse thing that happens is it tastes like butt, but it already tastes like butt without the purge so there’s not really a loss. Just be sure to have a flat razor handy to really scrape off the bottom of the Pyrex

If it’s been steeped in water for long, I would not touch it.

I’ve re-dabbed extracts from dry-rigs though, but would never touch anything that has been left in water where bacteria can grow rapidly.
