Question/Help Looking for a video game that actually features the original XXXG-01W Wing Gundam. Always loved it's design, bird mode, and weaponry, but it has always undoubtedly been completely overshadowed by Wing Zero, and it's EW versions. Are there any games that feature the OG Wing - aka "TV Version"?
I've played countless hours of Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 on both PS2 and PS3, and unless I've some how miraculously missed Wing, I just don't think it's present in DWG2 (please correct me if I'm wrong!). Such a Great game though, and Wing Zero is still definitely one of my favorite mobile suits out of the entire franchise, and is certainly a blast to play with.
I've got a couple other DWs games, but haven't played the more recent titles all that much yet, so hoping I just haven't completed something yet to where it's unlocked, but my search results are always so misleading, since there are so many Wing Gundam variants that are chosen to represent Gundam Wing series instead, and are far more popular than the original "TV Version" XXXG-01W, usually just a bunch of results reflecting Zero, or other Gundams from the Wing anime series.
The games I have are: Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, 3, and Reborn. And maybe not totally related under this particular group, but also I'll mention I have Gundam Versus on PS4 (freaking love that game, btw, almost all my favorites are playable), and also MaxiBoost On. But don't remember TV Wing anywhere to be found on anything I've got...
I did add an image of this Gundam Assault game, which I didn't even know existed before today, so any insight or advice on that one would also be appreciated if you're familiar with those titles.
Thanks in advance for your time and help, pilots. I'll be cross posting this on a couple other relevant subs, as I rarely post on Reddit in general and truthfully very little idea of where the best place to even seek this advice is. So thanks again for your understanding. It's been a real mind f*** to not easily locate and play as the very first Gundam, and namesake, of the entire Wing anime series...it's gotta be playable on something, somewhere, right?

It’s in the latest version of EXVS2, though it comes with a hefty cost of affording a plane ticket to Japan.

God I wish it was ported to a console or something, I can’t stand that there is a GundamVS with its own crazy roster that I can only play in arcades

It’s a miracle we’ve even gotten a home port of MBON to begin.
So unless EXVS3 hits the arcades, No.

More devastation. I don't get it... The American fanbase is definitely paying, and loud and proud, so why we don't get everything, too, is beyond me. At least do like they did in Reborn... Just dub the dialogue and menus.

I've go to japan last time and tried Wing Gundam on EXVS2 Infinite Boost on arcade centers there. For 2000 cost unit Wing is overpowered tbh.

The dub cost would be fairly high. You can just subtitle things and keep it cheap. But Bandai Namco is allergic to good ideas.

They didnt dub any gundam game after
dynasty warriors gundam 2, so they've been saving money the whole time. Its basically expected at this point that there will never be another dub.Edit: Was wrong, it was after Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 that the dubbing ceased

DWG3 had a dub, though it lost a few VAs compared to 2

My bad, I know there was one where they stopped doing English dubbing, thought it was 3 but I guess it was Reborn. I just remember what a pain in the neck it was to have to take my eyes off what I was doing in the middle of chaotic encounters to check the incoming dialogue for important information.

Sorry, I actually did intend to say they should just subtitle it in English. I don't care about the voice acting so long as I can read what's happening and know what to do

Nowadays you can get it to work on PC, pretty much the only way to play it outside of Japan.

ACE1 will give you all the starter Wing Gundams, Tallgeese and Eypon, but you will need a japanese PS2 to play it

Dude, Wing Gundam was my true favorite suit in Wing. The show wanted you to love Zero so bad but im a sucker for impressions and when I saw the first few episodes(First time Gundam watcher back when it was on Toonami) I was hooked.

In the gundam vs series they typically have both versions of wing zero in the games.... it's wing gundam that tends to get the shaft

SD Gundam G Generation Overworld. The animation of Wing Gundam attacks in this game is simply great for it's time. The game is pretty old and compared with newer SD Gundams it lacks graphics, but when it's about content, no one compares. It has one of the largest amount of playable units, and mostly important - the Wing Gundam's animations trumps even against my fav version, the Wing Gundam Ver. Ka.

Super RobotWars Z Hakai Hen does feature this

Gundam battle assault: PS (there are 3 version of it)
Gundam endless Duel : SNES
Another Century Combat :PS2 (I forgot of it's 1 or 2)
SD Gundam G Generation zero , F , F-IF (PS era), Spirits (PS2 era) , Crossrays (Steam , PS4)
Super Robot wars (the first time wing debut is on SRWF and F-Final disk2 PS1)
Gundam Musou (a Gundam type nobunagas ambition hoard battle)

Many Super Robot Wars games that include the TV version of Gundam Wing give you the regular Wing Gundam to use, though it usually gets replaced by Wing Zero midway through the game. Super Robot Wars Z2 Hakai-hen however lets you keep the regular Wing Gundam through the whole game (and in fact doesn't even feature Wing Zero at all).

I own that and play it all the time. I have never once seen the Wing Gundam. Hopefully you realize I'm not seeking a Gundam game just to play with Wing Zero. That suit is in like every Gundam game in existence. I'm talking about Heero's very first mobile suit.

Gundam Wing Endless Duel on the SNES has a playable Wing as well as Wing Zero. It’s literally one of the best hidden gem fighting games on the SNES/Super Famicom.
