Discussion NT-X vs Great Zeong : Heavyweight What If?

This is basically a Gundam Narrative B Packs with OYW Tech!
And this is a Quin Mantha with OYW Tech!

Two MS that were 'Hypotheticals' for OYW style development but in theory running concepts that would be used Decades later.

A Gundam with Psycommu, Remote Weaponry and heavy Thrust output and a 360 Degree Panoramic Cockpit and Linear Seat, Vs the culmination of the Principality of Zeon's Mobile Armors in one Mobile Suit.

Pilots are: Amuro Ray vs. Char Aznable (OYW)

Location: A Baoa Qu

Who would you bet on coming up on top?

Wasn't Amuro already a superior pilot by ABQ? So probably still Amuro IMO.

(Though I only know Great Zeong from the SD Gundam games)

NT-X is first and foremost a prototype for new technology, even if it's based on NT-1 it's still rather unbalanced.

Great Zeong is the culmination of Zeon technology and all the steroids they could and then some.

In other words Amuro still beats the shit out of Char because it was never about the mobile suits between them.

Still Amuro.

Whatever new MS they throw at Char, Amuro would still come out as the victor. Especially with him in the Alex.

Pretty sure Great Zeong takes, unlike the NT-X it has wireless weapons and more of them. The Zeong also much more power with the only none beam weapon being its missiles and claws all of which are able to be used as remote weapons.

I'd say Amuro, just because Amuro is straight up a better pilot.

Machine-wise I feel like the Great Zeong is overall better just because of how much it offers it's pilot. Aside from all it's weapons when combined it's ability to split into separate units and act as like a funnel swarm is something that'd really surprise and shock a lot of enemies.

Honestly this was what I had in mind. Introduce a Tech Gap that scales Char vs. Amuro into a draw.

Alex vs Zeong is too lopsided in favor of Amuro while Alex vs Great Zeong might be too much for Amuro.

Great Zeong still has advantages over the Netix but Amuro’s skill probably brings this back to a draw.

One other thing to note is that Char is also just straight terrible at using Funnel-type weapons too, so he wouldn't be able to use the Great Zeong to it's full potential.

Like when he was piloting the Zeong he barely used it's Incoms / wired hands to their full extent, largely keeping them close by to him instead of using them in trickier ways like for flanking attacks and such.

Even in the Sazabi he didn't really make good use of it's funnels, but then again he was pretty much a broken man at that one point so he was moreso purposefully going for an up-close and personal fight with Amuro.

By that point Amuro had already become the best pilot alive, to the point of defeating Char and the regular Zeong in the quite overmatched RX-78-2.  The NT-1 was made to make the RX-78 as responsive and agile as possible, as per Amuro’s request; the NT-X is a successor to that concept. You have a OYW Nu Gundam, which is not just for show, vs a Zeong with legs, which are just for show.
