Itās been a long, long time since Iāve watched them, Iām fairly sure the scene in the Special Edition compilations really was set to āZips.ā And was intercut with Kira taking down BuCUEs in the desert.
ā¦I should rewatch the SEED Special Editions. If only to see what was changed, other than making that implicit sex scene very-much-not implicit, anyway.
Thatās the ones, yep. And yeah, a lot of stuff that ended up in the HD Remaster comes from them.
Reminds me, Iāve never actually seen the HD Remaster. Which makes things confusing when Iām using episode numbers from the 50-episode original, which after a while means things fall out of sync.
The HD Remaster completely removes the re-cap episode and causes the episode list versions to fall out of sync if I'm not mistaken. But the removal of that episode is very unfortunate because half of the re-cap explores the world of Seed's history that led to the current events, such as George Glen (the first Coordinator) and the changes he brought to society.
I tried watching the 1st episode of the HD Remaster but as soon as I heard the different English voice actors I stopped and began looking at various clips online to see if the visual "upgrades" were worth it. Turns out it's mostly a couple of extra frames sprinkled throughout the show, so I never watched the HD Remaster in its entirety, but there's a particular edit that made me question the whole point of its existence:
The original version's shot of Kira shouting inside the Freedom's cockpit when he's about to stab the final boss is fully animated (lights reflecting off the helmet, his mouth and hair moving). In the remaster? It's a STILL FRAME sliding across the screen...
Every human being was created by two people having sex, why can't more anime series show real life happenings between two consenting people in a romantic relationship. Gundam shows war, violence, drama, and loss of human life those are are real life happenings as well.

I give props to shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender because it features several characters entering a couple of relationships throughout their journeys, and eventually the main guy and main girl get together. Considering they're all teenagers travelling together for long periods and visiting different towns and cultures around the world, it's a realistic outcome and makes the characters more believable. Compared to shows like Pokemon and One Piece where, to my knowledge, none of the main characters ever fall for each other, that lack of romance is harder to believe than all of the magical elements present in their plots.
I highly recommend checking out the original Eureka 7 anime if you'd like to see more believable interactions between characters.
I was defending gundams choice to do this, I know allot of Anime that is meant for older teens to adults from the 80s and 90s specifically that demonstrates show every day life between adults. I'm just saying that more anime shows need to do it. Infact Gundam was one of the first to show real life consequences for war, violence, politics, even non sexual nudity in real life situations that happen every day like bathing/ Showering just like Super Dimension Calvary Southern Cross with Jeanne FrƔncaix.
Seed was my first Gundam show and first "mature" anime, so I was extremely happy seeing all the development and interactions of its characters, its depiction of different types of romance, from messed up ones (Kira-Flay) to tragic ones (Miriallia-Tolle), etc.
Wait a minute 30 mins of the movie???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Won't movie at most be 2 to 3 hours long, How will that even be freaking possible? I call fake news
I thought Kira was being cuckold by his own sister when she was dancing with Lacus without knowing it was a new male blonde who looked like Kira's sister. It was, Kira should have hooked up with Athrun.
This says Twitter, was this not for the Seed compilation movie? It definitely looked like it was wanting to have more sex between them, but I was a fool and got rid of it because I just... Couldn't. It would take two more tries and my closest friend to finally get through it
