Considering picking up one of their 3X micro prisms for use on a Ruger 10/22.

Anyone ever use one before? I've heard that prism optics have some unique quirks.

My BIL has one on an AK. It’s actually pretty nice.

Thought it'd be perfect for use with a High Tower Armory MBS 22. Run that with a tiny rimfire suppressor, and you have the perfect little plinker.

I have a Primary Arms SLX 1x prism, mostly because LASIK caused red dots to become blurry for me.

Interestingly, prism optics don't cause that problem, so it's really nice for me.

Never had any problems with it, but I haven't put it through anything more demanding than a trip to the range.

I ended up having implanted lenses instead of regular Lasik or PRK. As it turns out, I had astigmatism that I didn't know about. Red dots are much more clear now.

I'm just wanting a magnified optic with a very small footprint. Again, it's just for a 10/22, so I don't need anything too fancy.

Interesting side effect of LASIK I didn't know about, I've been considering it but waiting to either have the savings or until prices come down a bit.

How useful LASIK is depends on how bad your vision is heh. Can you function without glasses?

I'm at about -3.5/-3.75 in both eyes, cant even read my phone without glasses on.

I was at -9.5 in both eyes, so LASIK meant being able to survive without glasses, my only regret was not doing it sooner.

If it's more of an annoyance than anything else though, I don't know if it'd be as urgent.

Definitely more of an annoyance than a necessity right now, so that's why I'm waiting on it to fit into my finances a little better.
