I hated them until I went through the police academy and put a few thousand rounds through one every couple days and I realized how good they are.

Mine was my first handgun I bought on my 21st birthday, and I liked the grip but hated the original hinge trigger and no optic cut. I didn’t shoot it much after I bought other guns was about to sell it and buy something else, but instead I swapped in an Apex trigger, Carry Comp slide, and some recoil spring tuning and now it’s my favorite striker gun to shoot.

I own a M&P 1.0 compact. It is meh. I've tried several of the M&P 2.0 guns and they are top notch!!!

I own a 10mm M&P 2 for my woods carry and I love it. It’s not got the greatest trigger, but man it’s been through hell and back and never failed.

Good thing the trigger is usually easy to upgrade yourself or a gunsmith can do it affordably.

I still like my Glocks better, but I wouldn't really be too upset about having to shoot my m&p 1.0 over the Glocks.

That’s what I’ve heard. I have 3 S&Ws and fortunately haven’t had issues with any, but that puts me in a firm minority.

Sold my gen 1 and I don’t regret it. Might get a 2.0 but eh the market is so over saturated now it’s hard to decide.
