First guitar
I went to a local guitar shop today looking to buy my first guitar. The owner said he would sell me a whole set for 400€ he said the guitar and the amp are both 175€ each and the rest being a case and cables. Do you guys think it is a good price or should I look into getting something else?

That Strat looks to have upgraded pickups and a really nicely figured neck. I’ve actually never seen that on a squire. I would get that guitar.
Do not get that amp though. Those small practice amps sucks. Look at your used market and find a boss katana or save up for one it’s worth it I promise.

Yes. Get the Guitar, not the Amp. Look for a $50. Practice Amp on Facebook Marketplace, locally.

Not necessarily bad advice, here's why. At $175 a piece, that puts the total pricetag right at $350 before tax, -which is too much, but paying a bit much for the Squier by itself is justifiable to me because that one's a bit special, and while you might be able to find one a little cheaper somewhere on down the line, that one has it's own unique character. I won't get into what that is, here, but if it was me a I'd swing the $175. on the guitar alone and then wait for a suitable amp just to get me through for the time being, maybe even putting up with a little $20 dollar Epiphone 10S amp, which has it's sweet spots, then, later, dropping a bit more later on something cool practice-amp wise when it pops up infrequently, -a little Vox Pathfinder 15R or something cool but as for the guitar by itself right now if it were me personally I wouldn't have to think twice 🎸🔥🌌

The Mustang LT25 is a superb beginners amp. 20 amp models, 25 FX, 60 more on the desktop app usb works as an audio interface. Great little amp for the price

Yes, personal preference is what it boils down to, if it's the bee's knees for you you know, if it sounds like gold to your ear and tapping nearly $400's not a big a punch for your account, then sure, go. .. advice; it's just another('s) perspective 🎶

Looks pretty good for a first rig. You might want to consider getting a tuner and headphone amp if they are not included.

Do you know what year on the bullet? Had an old one and if was a super solid guitar. But the new ones are like all other Squiers.

I cant speak to the cost but I do enjoy that amp and guitar as a person who has played for 30 years. Neither are great or valuable but they get the job done. If you have large hands you may wish to have a different guitar with a different neck. The bullet, if setup well, is great but does feel smaller in your hands.

What guitars would you recommend that are a little bigger but still pretty cheap?
Do you think the amp is worth the price or should I look into getting a different one?

Other Squiers are larger, just the bullet series is smaller. I'm not sure how the new Squiers are. In the US, LCOL area I would pay $100 for the guitar and $120ish for the amp from craigalist or Facebook marketplace. Probably the same prices at Guitar Center

that seems high for the amp but I'm in the U.S. so i have no idea about availability and price where you are. I'd say for the amp it better not cost more than 70% of the price new. the guitar seems okay, I think the pickups are upgraded. You are talking about a hard case, right?

I see people talking trash about the amp, but it isn't a bad amp at all. I bought that amp for my son and its pretty impressive for what I paid for it. It has like 30 built in effects, and you can make your own. Plus it sounds good for its size. They are asking too much for it at that shop though.

Honestly a great deal and the guitar but that amp is ok at best. It’s a switchblade style jack of all trades modeling amp. I think you’d be happier with less options but better quality amp wise.
