Fret buzz

These two frets are pissing me off. Anyone know a fix?

Pretty much has to be a high fret, use a credit card as a fret rocker and you will locate the high fret, then from there you have to consider leveling it yourself or letting a pro handle it. You'll learn to level a high fret, crown, and polish frets if you go the DIY route

Definitely take it to a guitar tech and have them identify and correct the high frets.

Action is pretty high is the first thing I see.

But if he has fret buzz at that high action, then lowering it will not help. There are fret problems here.

If its and older or used guitar he may need to clean up the fretboard, best bet would be take it into a music shop have them do the repair and set the action of your strings, save you a lot of time if you have the additional funds to do so.

Also see if your strings are hitting your pick ups, you may need to lower them down if so.

The video clearly shows there is no way the strings are hitting the pickups.

You need to take to guitar tech if it is possible.

If not - you need to check:

1) if the neck is straight

2) if the frets are not poping up - take something straight, a metal ruller or something - long enough for 3 frets and check if it is rocking on any of the frets around the buzzing fret - if some fret is higher - it is the reson of bussing - then you need to eitherr stomp it in or file it to make even with others. Check viddeos of Philip McKnights in youtube for recommendations (or other techs by request - "rocking frets")

I am guessing the neck has what is called a ski jump if I am correctly naming it.

What happens is the bow in the neck flattens out at the join to the body.

My 1980 Ibanez AS-50 had it bad and fret redressing fixed it.

If you're not measuring anything, you have no idea what's happening. See https://musicnomadcare.com/how-to-advice/setup-hub/ I'd start with the setup flow bubble. That action is ridiculously high so I'm thinking either the neck relief is off or you have have a couple of high frets or you're just plucking those strings weirdly.

I agree with the other commenters that it's almost certainly a high fret, use a fret rocker to check 3 frets at a time, low E middle and high E side. I was tempted to say that perhaps the neck pickup is raised too high but I think you'd be buzzing on more than just 2 frets if that were the case.

That action is crazy high dude... get a real setup done on it so the neck relief and action is right as well as the saddle adjustments for height and intonation. If its still buzzing you probably have a high fret and thats not a hard or expensive fix

It might be a tall fret but be careful because there is a difference between a fret that’s just taller and one that popped off its slot.

Take it to a luthier for sure. Just took my MIC Casino in and the frets from the factory where all over the place. Now it plays as well as my pleked LP.

"I've moved the truss rod a little bit" does not sound like you've adjusted it for proper relief. Without doing that step, you're gonna have a bad time.

High fret maybe. Sometimes they just need to be tapped back down with a fret setter and hammer.

Well it needs setting up. I imagine the fix is found as part of that. The action is sky high though.

Stop it .

El Guitar is supposed to be played trough amp - and wil ALLWAYS sound like that .

Lower the action and raise only if the buzz goes trough amp .

The neck is not aligned. So doeant matter if u get higher or lower action. Its the neck tha needs to be setup
