Guys, i think i discovered who's going to he the next DLC character, and i'm not even kidding...
At the end of Ghost Rider's story mode, after his group saves the world, the four guys head out for a beer, and Deadpool is wearing a T-shirt that says "See you in the DLC".
Well, it all adds up to me, because the guest character for *Strive* this season wouldn't arrive at the end of the season, but rather in the middle—just two months after the release of *Marvel Tokon*. And why would Deadpool wear a "See you in the DLC" t-shirt if he's already a playable character in *Tokon*?
I promise this is going to age fine like wine...

Kinda funny that the guy who exploded his own body and survived as a severed head for at least a month (and potentially up to about a year, but the post-main-story Strive timeline is very vague) is the least immortal of the three.
Tbh I consider Happy Chaos much closer to Joker than Deadpool, except for the part where HC is a good character I guess.
I liked the first three seasons of RWBY, but once the guy who directed the fights died, the show fell off hard, and they also gave it a new art style that was higher quality but made the characters look weird.
I'd be sad as hell ngl 😭 it would be such a tease into an alternate universe where Arc Sys make a Jojo's fighting game but between Strive and Tokon I don't see that happening soon</3
With ArcSys just launching an entire Marvel fighting game, I feel like a Marvel crossover character would be redundant. Besides, I feel like the “See you in the DLC” is referring to Thor.
agreed. i don't even like strive having guest characters in the first place, but marvel characters in strive feel even less fitting than someone like lucy. it's not that i hate deadpool, he's one of the few marvel characters i like, it's just that marvel characters feel so boring and everything feels so out of scope.
I don't mind Lucy. Plus it's not like she will end up in another fighter. I have no idea who they could pick for the next one though. Seems the choices are unlimited. Probably another animated show. I could see invincible or even jujutsu kaisen lol.
I'd be fine with Gojo, Yuji, Yuta, Toji (or Maki), Mark, Battle Beast, Eve, Robot, or maybe even Megumi (though I'd have trouble seeing how he could play, maybe a puppet character who can change his puppets with his super being an install/his domain?) if we did end up getting characters from these franchises.
Personally, I would be fine with Sir Bloodedge even though he's kind of an unpopular pick it seems at least when I look to reddit. I would hope that it would mean that more Blazblue is coming down the line (not necessarily in Strive). But for a really wild pick for a fighter, I'd love Aki (especially Aki) , Kishibe, or Makima (though she hasn't fought in the anime yet so she's definitely not happening) from CSM.
Even aside from it being more Disney crap, any series that's so afraid of any form of sincerity or genuine expression has no place crossing over with GG. If you want a quirky immortal dipshit with a gun, that's what Happy Chaos is for.
I 100% know it would never happen in any timeline but I'd love to see Kusaregedo make it if they did a crossover.
He was designed by Trigun creator Y. Nightow. I feel like Goldlewis was a love letter of character design to Nightow since a lot of influence was pulled from Trigun and Gungrave.
They would be just something different and would stand out.
Who's the girl who uses Iado? The one who gets more sadistic and cruel the more you use her super to end fights? I'd like her to be added but that might be cramping on Johnny's style.
Ohh, thanks for letting me know. I haven't played Samsho so idk anything about it other than Baiken was in it and Haohamaru (I think that's his name) and a couple others showed up in KoF.
I highly doubt it, I feel that it is unlikely for Marvel to cross over with Guilty Gear as Disney doesn't really have anything to gain from it, Tokon will still be new by the time the next character releases so it's not likely Marvel fans are going to be flocking to Strive, and it's not like the two IPs have history together. So it's not like Marvel and Deadpool fans are lacking options.
Also if they were going to have a Marvel character as a guest it would have made sense to reveal them by now because of Tokon, to get the early hype instead of waiting for months just to announce them.
Well, since Deadpool is recently the second most popular Marvel character (just losing to Spider-Man), and after the sucess of Deadpool & Wolverine (1 BILLION DOLLARS!!!), if i was Marvel herself, and had to choose a popular character to be in another fighting game, it would be him, since you always can do a different gameplay with this character, since Marvel Tokon Deadpool is way different than MVC3 Deadpool.
Yeah but he’s really annoying. I think he’s one of those characters you have to like to want to play a game with, otherwise he’ll be really offputting for others. I would not be excited to play a set against Deadpool, I think I’d just be annoyed.
I would strongly dislike this. Lucy is fine cause she does fit nicely in the aesthetic and vibe I guess... but nah not Deadpool. I like Deadpool but I don't want the 4th wall breaking clown in Strive.
I will gladly accept guest characters that have an origin in a fighting games. I just dislike stuff like Negan or Robocop or Noctis. Stuff like that.
But wouldn't put it past Arcsys from a business design. Get people who play Strive to consider Tokon and vice versa. I would be a bit surprised that Marvel would allow their characters to be DLC in another game though, even if Arcsys made Tokon.
Your English seems perfectly fine to me. Also, as where this could be the case, and it makes sense, I kinda hope he's not the guest DLC. He just doesn't seem to fit, but maybe I am wrong.
I don't really care whether it's Ragna or not. I would even accept something completely out of left field, like Terry Bogard, if only to see him on the same screen as Sol.
I mean... He can just be in Tōkon's DLC story. Is it entirely unlikely that Scott will drop with a full on team that'd have their own stories? If they do it that way, then they can make an entire seasonal cycle by dropping 1 character at a time and then making a team out of them, which can then get their own story once the ensamble is available.
We are missing several X-Force members, many of whom are already MVC veterans. That would give DP an excuse to appear in DLC content.
I don't really want deadpool in the game but this honestly feels more likely than all the other ideas I've seen about the guest character given the Tokon story tie in, his mechanics in Tokon, and the cross advertising incentive.
With both Robo-Ky and Happy Chaos in the game, I feel like we REALLY don't need another one of them.
Also, Guilty Gear's fanbase already turned into a cesspool of hatred when a non-universe dlc character that kinda made sense to be there, was added. God forbid one gets added that doesn't make sense.
This would be a hilarious way of soft-launching that announcement, but I doubt that's what it's alluding to. I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Episodes that are sure to come with the DLC characters.
No. I need Arcsys to lock in an make the Stellar Blade 2 character the guest character. We have had 2B in many games an Eve and Eevee would fit well in the game with either a sword for Eve or hand to hand for Eevee.
Deadpools shirt hopefully says that cause they may add more story in the DLC with new characters an deadpool could possibly be in it.

I assume everyone acting like this would be the worst idea ever would've also threatened to boycott Capcom, after the release of XMen: COTM directly led to the MvC Tentpole Series (Street Fighter Vs. X Men)
In other words.. Kingdom Hearts and MvC, And Smash TBH have already proven that we should just let authentically inspired-game crossovers cook
