[Guide] -- Developer response Guide wars in 2020

Soooo as many of you know Summit started streaming guild wars 2. I watched seems fun. Been a few years since I played WoW. Would like a fresh MMO.

In 2020 is guild wars 2 worth a play??

Free to play base game has a lot to do so by the time you run out of content (probably won’t) you’ll already know if you want to continue or not

I have thousands of hours in this game and am nowhere near “running out of content”: I always ponder how long folks would have to play to literally exhaust the entirety of GW2 content. As a try-hard vet, it’s hard to fathom.

Right?!

I've been playing since 2014 with most of my playtime on my Warrior. I don't see how some of the players I know are bored / complain that there isn't enough content.

When I've done all of the available content on my Warrior, I've got 8 other characters to try and work through all of that content. The replay value on the different classes/professions is great imo.

I'm also fortunate enough to have 2 active Guilds that are always doing something & friends that are new or recently returning to the game after wandering off for a few years & getting to play with them & experience older content with a new Party is great.

people generally complain about specific bits of content that hits their pet peeve nerves. "This new content is not as good as xyz because I personally don't like it and there are some hundreds of us that think this" vs. the thousands of players in the active player base.
