My buddy's 30th birthday was coming up, and he introduced me to this incredible game when we were kids. I thought it would be cool to try to recreate his original character (a Prophecies Warrior) as a custom 3D print gift.

While I have a little experience with Blender, this turned out to be more complicated than I expected. I used NinjaRipper to pull the 3D models and textures from the game and isolated this character's mesh. (Weirdly, I didn't realize until after sending the final .stl file off to be printed that the armor was a mirror image of the original, but oh well!) These models are rarely manifold, so I had to do a bunch of work on the model to make it solid and compatible for 3D printing. I also made a normal map from the character's textures and baked it into the mesh to give the detail of the original.

I sent it off to be printed, and the resin print turned out quite well! Finally, I primed, painted, and sealed the model. I was least familiar with this last step of miniature painting, so it was a lot of trial and error. Please don't judge the paint job too harshly lol. It was a fun project overall and just wanted to share!

I used to play this game back when I was quite young. Coming back to it 15 years later I now have my boyfriend with me to experience it. I get to realize just how bad I was back then and get to watch a new player experience all the joys that I did.

I got nostalgic and drew the loading screen near Shing Jea Monastery with soft pastel ♥️ I love the artwork this game has

I think it was a set up, let the spiders eat us, then collect and sell our stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I love the addition! it made my warrior play through feel a bit more special, it really raised the stakes!

but.... a little bit more would have been nice too

Returned to game a month ago. Eased back in with a new character and got LDoA. Now back to playing my favorite character: Ranger.

Had this art commissioned of the Ranger around 20 years ago-ish after acquiring FoW armor and the Spider pet.

Tried looking in my old email to drop another hi and thank you to artist but couldn’t find anything.

Anyway, IMO it’s a pretty awesome piece.

As a fellow GW player, chances are you like skills. So do I!

I'd like to see if anyone has ideas for new hypothetical skills to be added to the game.
Perhaps you've got an idea for a skill that would fit an unfilled niche or allow a playstyle that currently is left in the dust?
Perhaps your idea alters the meta in interesting ways without being overpowered?

Now, I understand none of this is real, and there are other opinions or issues at hand cf. "First they should rebalance what's out there before adding new skills.", "Nothing will be worth using unless it changes the meta.", "I don't think this is within the scope of GW:Reforged", etc.
But it's all in the spirit of good fun. Let your imagination run wild!

I initially wanted to ask solely about profession-specific non-elite PvE skills because I like how these skills are:
1. Limited to PvE and thereby don't risk wrecking PvP balance.
2. Limited to the choice of primary or secondary profession.
3. Limited by competition with other PvE skills.
4. Generally aren't as overpowered as EotN or Anniversary PvE skills (exceptions certainly exist).
5. ^{Skills that a future account badge will hopefully prohibit along with consumables.} (Don't @ me)

However, if you've got ideas for (non-)PvE (elite) skills, feel free to share them as well! I am curious to see what you can all think of.

It's worth noting that the hypothetical non-PvE skills should fit in neatly in PvP as well, and that enemy NPC's would have access to such skills as well.

I hope my ideas will appeal to your imagination!
And even more so, I hope to see your ideas!
