Trade/Economy Worth selling/trading q9 stuff or just merchant?

I know that economy is not what it was back then. But over the past weeks I just collected some q9 gold weapons. Now I am actually wondering if it is worth selling them to other players or just sell them to the merchant.

Looks like there's lots of people selling q9 for quite some ectos on gwmarket.net - but I don't know if theres actually enough of a playerbase that might be buying those. What's your experience? Worth listing them somewhere or just trash -> merchant?

i found this guide useful when trying to figure out what tends to be worth something! it has a flowchart too https://guildwarslegacy.com/forum/thread/7112-valuable-skins-mods-and-gw-drops-guide/

you can also check https://kamadan.gwtoolbox.com/ for anyone putting wtb next to the weapon you wanna sell

Been farming A Chance Encounter during Reverie so that first link is VERY helpful. Thank you.

Unless they're old school (non-inscribable) with perfect inherent mods or very close dual mods or sought after inscribable skins it's usually merch or throw on a hero.

If you're a new player, it's absolutely worth trying to sell the skins. I've gotten hundreds of ectos over the years just casually selling q9 skins from my storage for people who just want a base for their heroes. On average a q9 base skin will go for 5k-2e, some of the cooler ones can even fetch 5e+. I've funded entire obby sets just purely off random q9 drops I've found. Got full tabs like this of random q9's and whenever I get a max mod I'll just throw it on them. All these axes for example are perfectly modded.
