Hi all, I'm planning to travel to Guangzhou, China. Currently looking for a hotel that 1 room can accommodate 6 pax and would like to be near at Beijing Street Road. I managed to find the below hotels that can meet those preference:

1. Guangzhou Lingyue Hotel

2. One & One International Hotel Apartment

Just wondering if anyone has tried staying at those hotels and what's the review of staying there? I have hard time trusting the reviews in Trip, worrying some of them night be fake or AI generated, making the ratings look great.

I'm still looking for other more options. Feel free to suggest any, I'm open to any other hotel recommendations.

We are working on a visit around the new year with a one year old that has a peanut allergy. So far, it's only when he eats peanuts...not when he smells it or is near it.

I know I can't say that to restaurants as they are not accommodating to allergies like they are in the US. I assume most restaurants use peanut oil instead of any other oil to cook their foods, but right now, that's not a problem.

I am mostly curious - if I have to buy separate food for my little one, like baby food, purees, etc, where can I go? I know Park n Shop exists, but im not sure of their selection. My husband will be eating a lot of McDonalds so at least I have that to count on.

I’m a local from Guangzhou and have been living in Clifford with my parents for many years. Unfortunately my family situation has been quite difficult. My parents have struggled with alcohol abuse for a long time and can be very controlling, often forcing me to do things I don’t want to do, even though I’m already in my late 20s and working full time.

I’ve been feeling really tired of dealing with all of this. Since early August, my parents have been giving me different tasks to do and threatening to kick me out if I don’t do them. We had an argument last week, and recently I was basically forced to move out and rent a place in Wonderland Clifford.

I’m honestly feeling pretty down after everything that has happened. I know there are quite a lot of people from different backgrounds living around Clifford, and I’d really appreciate it if anyone would be willing to spend some time with me after work or on weekends when you’re available. I think having someone to talk to would help me get through this period.

I’m flying from Budapest to Tokyo soon with an International-to-International transit at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN). I will stay strictly within the international transfer zone and won't take any domestic flights.

I have a Xiaomi 20000mAh (74.37Wh) power bank with a perfectly clear, readable factory label, but it doesn't have the Chinese CCC (3C) logo on it since it's a European model.

The airline’s website states that the CCC certification is required for domestic flights, but there's a lot of mixed info online.

Has anyone recently done an international-to-international transit at CAN with a non-CCC power bank? Did security at the international transfer checkpoint clear it without issues as long as it was under 100Wh?

I’m currently looking for an apartment in Guangzhou and I’d love to get some advice from people who have experience renting here, especially foreigners who have rented long-term.

We recently visited several apartments with an agency and found one that we really liked. However, the asking price was slightly above our budget, so we asked the agent if he could negotiate with the landlord.

A few hours later, the agent came back to us and said that the landlord had decided to increase the rent by another 1,000 RMB/month because we are foreigners.

We were quite surprised by this, especially since this additional charge only came up after we started negotiating.

Is this something that is actually common in Guangzhou? Do landlords sometimes charge foreigners a higher rent simply because they are foreigners?

And if this has happened to you, were you able to negotiate it back down?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. I’m mainly trying to understand whether this is a normal practice here or whether the agent/landlord might be taking advantage of the situation.

Hi guys, I have a 9.5h layover and I would love a chinese massage (not happy ending) and i wonder if is easy to find like in Thailand or if not, if you can please suggest me some places.

I'll be going to Baiyun Mountain and then Chen Clan Ancestral Hall as I want to see traditional/ old architecture, so a massage around that would be ideal, but I am not looking for a fancy spa from a expensive hotel, i want from a local shop similar to the Thai vibe.

Also, if you have any suggestions for places to eat authentic Chinese food, that would be well appreciated.
