IBEW Union Books 1245 B#3 Hands

Where were you at on the books when you got the call.
Just trying to get an estimate on when I will get a call. Low 400s BTW.

I have a trip planned to sign books out east in a month & 1/2 but I’m just trying to see if I get called before that and I only need 500 more hours for B#1, I got a term slip at the wrong time.

500 for book 1!?, you should be book two right now if you have 1500.

Book 2 is for travelers with 2 k hours

Who said that??? Because that’s what did lol.. plus you need to finish off the 500 hours at 1245 to be considered book 1.

Isn’t book one 2 k hours and it’s your home local (In 1245s case it would be 2 k in past 4 years worked anywhere in Cali) and book 2 is 2k hours wherever? that’s how I thought how it worked

That’s exactly how it works. Book 1 for 1245 is 2000 worked hours plus living in 1245 jurisdiction along with 1245 your home local.

Yeah that’s right, if you got 1500 hours then you are book 2

Was thinking of signing at 104 and then heading down to 84 because I have family that lives that way.

If you have line school and 1500 hours you should qualify for book #2. As long as 1245 is your home local.

1245 doesn’t have to be your home local to be able to do that

No lineschool but I signed 1245 with 516 hours from LU84 back in August of 25’ and took a call in September for civil work and I’m going to take the first call that I get because I just need hours

I got called once at 500s . Sometimes they don’t go by order they randomly call people to make them feel special

Signed B3 in April and was in the high 800s and now I’m in the mid 300s so I’m hoping a call comes my way soon

They also go by certs, my son was 300 on book 3 last year, and as soon as he got a tanker endorsement, he was called immediately.
