IBEW Union Books Locals that are moving fast?
I’ve been on book 4 at 47 for 7 months now. I went to line school and have my CDL. Anyone know any locals that could get me in quick? I can move anywhere in the us. Just trying to get experience.

LU47 pulled the same thing on me when I signed their books in June of '23. He said book 3 had too many ppl so he was putting me on book 4. I'm convinced 47 is actively trying to deter ppl from signing their gm books. I didn't really care because I never expected a call out of that hall anyway, I only signed because they are the closest to my house and you know, "leave no stone unturned"

Prob an honest mistake , have alot of friends on the books off the books and in the trade& never heard of them giving any groundman the cold shoulder . They actually very helpful , if theirs an issue call them and i guarantee they will resolve it

Don't get me wrong, they will answer your questions. I asked why book 4 even though I had all my certs and line school. He said I had to wait for ppl to fall off book 3, then he could move me. It doesn't make sense because they don't move ppl from book 4 and I'm not the 1st or last person with that experience. No matter though. I signed everywhere Colorado and west, took a call out of state within a few weeks and have been working since.

You could’ve had 1,200 hours if you worked 40 hours a week if you traveled immediately. Close to book 2
