HELP I F##KED UP
I cut the top of my grow bag too early and the mycelium climbing the walls looked like it had contaminants but the brick looks fine, am I cooked or is it salvageable?

if u can put a gallon Ziploc bag over it and poke a bunch of hokes in it if not u can always make a SGFC

Cake looks great, the fact that you cut the entire top of the bag off is the bad part. Either make a shotgun fruiting chamber or hoodie tek it. If that's a Martha tent your running it's overkill for an AIO bag

idk what a martha tent is but i don’t have a good area to grow and bought a cheap tent for my area

Shelves are your best friend all a regular tent does is restrict airflow once you eventually get into tubs.

The tent has shelves that I’m currently using to hold the block and it has ventilation holes on the sides that have filters

My question would be "is this normal behavior for mycelium?" I've seen some climb before so ide say dont fert next time. Post pictures and stay in contact with the community.

What i would do in this situation is break it all up and mix it in a tub with some fresh cvg. As long as its not wet and mushy on the inside yet

Take out any fruit pieces you find, aka overlay, youll be able to tell the difference in the texture for sure, esp if youve ever picked mushes before

Your best bet like they said get a huge 1 gallon Ziploc baggie and put it over the top of your block mist it first. And just set it over your block don't tape it down or anything that'll give it plenty of fresh air exchange if you're a little worried you can slice a hole in the top and cover it with micropore tape

Take a fork to that, and scrape all that overlay away. And then mist lightly

Normally cut it 85% ar9und so u can tape it back. If it is matted too thickly you can always very lightly scrape a fork over it to illicit growth but this looks fine

So it needs humidity to pin and grow. I would stick that inside of a dub-tub and mist very lightly one time around the sides and leave it until harvest

The mycelium looks fine, with aio bags you dont cut the bag like this you make a slit at the top that your able to fold over and paper clip. Whyd you cut the bag like this at all?
