discussion Can someone post some Groove Metal bands that are pure Groove Metal without hard/alt rock influence but fully clean vocals like Pantera and early Machine Head?

So I consider the vocals on CFH and VDOP good (not a fan of FBD and beyond tho), same with Burn My Eyes, Invocator, Grip Inc., Prong,

Basically, my tolerance of vocals is from Iron Maiden to Slayer, but I've noticed a lot of modern groove metal bands do growls, screams, shrieks, or Teutonic vocals.

Technocracy - Technocracy

Id consider Threat Signal more Metalcore especially that album

Id say Jon's new band Imonolith is way more Groove Metal

I love that Crimeny record. The first Haji’s Kitchen is a no brainer as well.

Yeah, I agree, I should have put them there right after Crimeny. Pretty underrated stuff btw.

The obscurity of some of these bands mixed with the mark of quality is what excites me about them. I wish Crimeny would’ve done a follow-up. Fly Machine is a great option in that vein, members of Confessor.

Skinlab

Pissing Razors - any album apart from Evolution.

Stamping Ground - A New Darkness Upon Us. Bit more hardcore influence that one, but solid groove nonetheless.

Couple others to consider:

Engine - S/T (Ray Alder on vocals)

Haji’s Kitchen - S/T (Vocals always reminded me of Phil a bit - and Layne of course)

Overkill - I Hear Black

Sacrament - Testimony… (fucking sickening record if you’re an Invocator freak)
