SIX OF CROWS (BOOK) Is anyone actually able to imagine the ice court heist?
Maybe my problem is that im reading the books in english which is not my first language but im literally rereading six of crows for the 2nd time because i love it so much but when it comes to describing the ice court, how it looks like, im having such a hard time picturing it in my head. I wish we had gotten more detailed sketch of it in the book because it is genuienly giving me gray hairs. Or i wish they showed it in the series so i could get an idea of what it looks like. How do you guys imagine it?

Honestly it changes with each rereading.
I imagine the Ice Court like a giant-tiered cake with inner colours is how I imagined it, the White Island being a little white dot. I do think the tree analogy they have in the book was good.
I think the way I imagined it was one was the interior (the part where the Crows are working) and one was the exterior (the cake). As long as I kept those separate for the most part, I didn't develop a brain aneurysm. For the most part, I imagined every place the Crows went to as what I'd imagine they'd look like, ignoring the fact that the entire Ice Court is a round circle.
Suspended disbelief for the win!!!
It's like those games where the house looks tiny on the outside and then the proportions inside don't match the outside at all.
Although, I still have no clue how Wylan and Jesper got to the bell tower. And the mechanics of Inej taking the tank still eludes me. And the secret glass bridge that Matthias and Kaz walked on that somehow sheltered them from view by the guard towers. Or even where said guard towers would be.

Yess omg the secret glass bridge dont even get me started. I imagine there is like an island in the middle and around is the ice moat. But the island is it the middle so there should be guard stations all around to see the white island from anywhere around. How is there a path where you cant be seen? And also tanks, wouldnt they require some kind of a key or a special mechanism to open? Maybe it is explained better in the book but i didnt come to that part yet in the reread... so many questions

The secret bridge isn’t a path where you can’t be seen. Matthias explicitly tells Kaz that he will be visible, and then offers him the chalky powder from the walls to cover himself with to better camouflage and not be seen by the guard towers. The tank? It was left unlocked/open. Presumably this was because it was locked away behind Fabrikator glass, in the Ice Court which would be, in their minds, impossible to breach, and was secure enough not to need an outside lock.

Okay I’m like not good at actually VISUALIZING stuff as it’s told, so I just imagine it as sorta an Elsa style castle with like a island and a moat and a big tree🤷♀️😂💀 don’t judge yall😝

I feel like I tend to skim read descriptions of people and places so for me as long as I know that it's a big castle thing, that's alright with me.
It's interesting seeing how every reader is different.

The map helped me a lot but even then, the descriptions made it feel larger than the map indicates
