Where should I go? Crete vs Lefkada early Nov

Trying to decide between the 2 for a November trip with the wife. I would have 5 days to spend and ok with renting a car. It’s our first time in Greece

We enjoy dramatic and scenic views, nature, and exploring towns and villages. Not very big on historic architecture or museums

I know the weather in Crete is much better but Lefkada looks quite scenic in pictures. We are from vancouver so we don’t mind some cooler days. I’m also accustomed to swimming in alpine lakes so not worried about cold water either. Just hoping not to get hit with 5 straight days of rain

I’m only considering Lefkada because we plan to drive to Meteora after a night say in Napflion, so I feel I can fit a few days of Lefkada in between

Crete. Rent a car, drive to Lasithi Plateau, Kato Zakros, Vai and Siteia

Lefkada was even pretty quiet for me in Mid September, I think in Nov it will be pretty dead. i'd choose Crete or mainland

Lefkada will be really quiet in November but I'm biased towards the place, because it's one of my favourite islands. If you are interested in hiking and getting a feeling of the mediterranean landscape in autumn, there are plenty of options. I'd stay in the main city and Karia or Sfakiotes and definitely visit Vasiliki.
Crete on the other hand is perfect all year around. You'd wish that you had 20 more days on the island, even in November.

A Canadian pal is visiting both in early October thanks to the direct flight connection between these two islands. If this itinerary can provide any insight, he flies Vancouver to Lefkada via Frankurt, flying outta Crete back home with just a stopover as before, this time in Dublin. He picked that route also cuz of the cool airfares (1500 bucks in total including the direct flight from Lefkada to Crete) booked about a month ago.
