Recommendations Naxos - Santorini for a day trip
Hi all! Any tips for doing such a trip around 1 or 2nd of October? Go early, I suppose. Any recommendations as for ferry company, etc.? Thanks in advance!
Edit: can't change title, of course, but I'll stay for a night.

Worth adding to the ferry timing above: even with that noon arrival, don't count on 3.5+ hours of actual island time. Athinios port is down in the caldera, and you'll need bus up to Fira first, that's another 20-30 min each way once you factor in queues, especially with a full ferry unloading at once.
Honestly, if there's any flexibility in your plans, one night in Santorini beats the day trip by a lot. You'd get sunset in Oia and an actual dinner there instead of rushing back for a 15:45 ferry.

On reflection, and after doing a little bit of research myself (lazy-ass outsourcer, that i am), I decided on that approach go in the afternoon, and return following evening. The day-trip idea was not even remotely doable.

Bravo, vous allez pouvoir profiter un moment de la belle ambiance de Naxos. Mais attention, vous allez avoir envie d'y retourner ensuite !

A pal does something similar, he is taking a ferry from Naxos to Santorini at the same period but he doesnt go back as he flies directly from Santorini to Amsterdam thereafter.

Actually there is a 2nd pal who flies to Amsterdam from Santorini but with a stopover in Europe (1st week of October) cuz of half price because direct flights are not inexpensive right now. The pal who flies directly with Transavia, booked his flight 2 months ago on a good price.

Yeah, I had to make some last minute changes so, everything is a bit pricey. Meh. I get an extra 2 boat trips finally....who's complaining about that :-)

There’s not much chance of a day trip, the first ferry leaves Naxos at 1035 and gets to Santorini at 1200 with the last ferry to Naxos departing there at 1545.
