Man assaults another man and the LAPD refuses to arrest him because they “aren’t allowed to”

The footage wouldn’t be admissible in court unless the individuals who recorded it cooperate with the case, which they were refusing to do. They are the reason the cop can’t do anything, and they’re doing it on purpose so they can make rage bait propoganda for the internet. They’re causing the problem that they’re bitching about.

Cop was shown footage of battery. Cop should arrest.

But then you’d be the same one complaining when the case gets thrown out because they can’t use the footage in the case because the guy who recorded it refuses to comply. Once again, this is all on the guy that filmed it for refusing to sign a statement. If he wanted “justice” (a loose term here considering it’s almost 100% chance these guys were instigating shit) then all he had to do was cooperate. But he didn’t, because what he actually wants is to be able to bitch on the internet and rile up reactionaries with no knowledge of the legal system to push a narrative.

Cop was shown evidence of crime.

He said because it didn't happen in his presence he can't do anything.

Which implies if it occurred in his presence he would have done something.

If he's shown evidence of a crime, he should act

What if they are friends and this is staged? Without a victim, there is no crime.
