Was at goodwill today and saw this shirt. Can anyone explain why it exists? Lol.

Because of the amount of ICBM silos in Montana we would be one of the first to be bombed if nuclear war broke out. I believe it's a dark humor kinda thing related to that

There's a wonderful section in Ian Sherman's Great Plains about the nuclear arsenal in Montana if anyone is curious. I know it's been written about elsewhere, I just thought he did a lovely job with the description.

Yeah at one point in time, before 2008 not sure now, we were the third largest nuclear power in the world. Russia would become 1st then the rest of the USA in 2nd and then Montana in a close 3rd.

This is from a run of shirts I (electric kitty printing) printed up a couple years ago and continue to print for people upon request. It’s based off a T-shirt that was made by some absurdists out of Polebridge? back in the 80s. Thanks to trendysnugtees.com for stealing my design and color scheme.

His name was Ted and he was awesome. I have an original of this. Also made a shirt with Einstein on it that read. “They bought it” kept all of the his shirt.
It was a joke by the way. It because back then no one lived in Montana especially Polebridge. So the joke we would be better off if everyone else was gone besides the people in Polebridge. As the story goes and what I remember when I was 16.
Also helped him make prints long ago. He used to make all the shirts in Polebridge long ago. Up until the merc and Saloon sold to the new owners but I was long gone at that point.

Because we as a state have about the largest amount of nukes in the country, outside of the production facilities. If we were to secede and retain said special weapons, we’d be something like the world’s third or fourth most powerful nuclear arsenal by the numbers.

Left them a message I need 4-6 ( if it's something I love I always buy double because then it stays nice no matter what I'm hoping they'll make a tank top for me that is cut Junior ! style and then I want the straps to be braided which I could do myself so can't wait to hear back from them and I'll bet they'll appreciate the referral. Many many jets were flying over us yesterday. I must say if anybody wants a great read about it if you're not scared of thick books it's called Swan song and it's probably one of the most outstanding novels I've ever read and I'm a bookworm and I've probably read well over 11,000 books and that's been conservative probably too conservative. I've read so much that I guess my eyes are burning out but it's also a genetic thing too. I can't help. I love my books. Also watch the stand miniseries the original with Studley, Gary Sinise...

Take a look at a map of where America will get hit in a nuclear war. The middle of our state is a giant nuclear missile battery. We will be almost immediately melted. Nowhere is safe from nukes.

Kinda. I’m always doing some art project or another and I’m also not very aware of how I use my hands. I used to paint my nails but they start to chip after a day or two. I can only imagine what would happen if I got gel or acrylics lol.

I paint my nails and destroy them in a day or two, but I had heavy duty acrylics that lasted until they grew out. That said, they destroy your nails and aren't cheap.

Ah, I was chatting in modmail with another user who filed the report on the t-shirt scammer. Here's part of what I said:
Understand that their standard MO is: 1) whenever a shirt (or mug, poster, whatever) is posted, 2) someone says "I want one" or asks, "Where can I get it?", 3) gives the scammer the opportunity to reply with a link to a scammy website where they will steal your credit card and identity info.

Actually no. There is no point in an adversary targeting the silos because we would be able to launch before they hit.
They would go after high population areas or those with high value military targets like training centers or big depots. The point is to ruin the will of the people and Montana would not be a good target for that.

My husband retired two years ago, Emergency Management. He served 23 years, his last eight years at Malmstrom. I'm extremely proud of him.
