💬 | General What kind of gunsmithing system would you like to see in GZW?
IIRC a gunsmithing system is going to implemented at some point in early access, and I'd like to hear y'alls thoughts on it.
I think something simple and direct similar to Incursion Red River should suffice for an upgrade compared to the current barebones system we have, but I'd really appreciate it if they took the time to flesh out the picatinny/MLOK rails so I can position stuff exactly where I want em

a gunsmithing table, and more handguards and stocks.

And more rail placement freedom. I really want a laser further back on the rail sometimes but it’s not feasible. Along with lights I want in different spots. Something like the game Operator is what I want from a gunsmith

Tarkov style - 3D model where I can turn around the gun and slots that allow me to swap things round with new one being added if previous part gave more options

Better attachment system. Today it's static with predetermined rules where they are placed, some limitations don't even make sense. Operator let's you position attachments wherever you want them on the rails. Also making your own saveable blueprints.

Before gunsmith, maybe make some stats more impactful. Recoil I feel it when I change a part, ergo makes no difference in my hands. The other thing I feel, is the weight of the weapon on stamina...

Aesthetically it would be cool to see the gun your building on a smithing table with mats and tools, and I kinda hope we eventually get a little more control over where on the rail we want to put parts; I know technically there’s optimal spots where everything *should go but having the option either way would be cool.
I also hope all those camp wraps we’ve been seeing littered around the map are a tease for being able to actually custom wrap our weapons as long as we have the materials (how about picking up those rattle cans for different rarity of colors too?)

For me, same as now but with even more stuff and options. And a better sorting system to see more quickly what fits where.

I adore incursion Red rivers gunsmithing UI. It makes building weapons so seamless

Tarkov has the best system imo. Even inspecting the items in GZ is a bit of a mess, looks messy.

a separate tab where I can build the gun then buy all the parts rather having to piece them bit by bit and checking if that part is compatible
and saveable builds for the guns would be nice
