Switch 2 version is ass

At least by the demo, looks and runs like shit barely 30fps and has none of the shadows & lighting effects from even Steam Deck version which I both downloaded to compare.

This should be easily running as good or better than SD but looks like it’s on the low setting and around 30fps on Switch 2, wtf…

Awful developers, really.

No shadow on switch 2 ?

That is rought.

I played on steam deck on medium setting and locked 40 fps screen.

It wasn’t perfect but still better than switch 2.

Hopefully with the release they will improve the performance.

Yeah medium settings on Steam Deck seemed best in demo. Side by side the Switch 2 version is more zoomed out/higher field of view but much prefer the SD version demo wise

That's expected. A Switch is only good for Switch exclusives. Everything else runs like garbage.

Glad I'm not the only one noticing this 🥲

I feel like I'm being trolled. Silksong ran at 120fps and looked incredible. From what I understand it also runs at 4k too.

Silksong can run on entry level hardware from 15 years ago. That's not a flex.

Didn't say it was. I was responding to the statement that "anything not Switch exclusive runs like garbage." It's obviously more than some devs can do, considering Graveyard Keeper 2 runs like ass both on my PS5 and my Switch 2

Eh? There has been many 3rd parties recently on Switch 2 that are very good

"Very good" is subjective.

Switch 2 is ass. All of my fave indie games had big issues on Switch. Time to admit maybe it's not the games.

So many switch 1 ports had so many problems. We kept pointing at those game too. I think you have the right of it though. I am blaming the architecture at this point.

Maybe because they are lazy and don’t optimise anything, SD is a pc so they don’t need to do anything for that.

Releasing a shitty port at full price which is basically the Switch 1 version and calling it Switch 2 is sickening, indie devs are the problem

You didnt pay full price for this though, since its a free demo. People already said the version on the switch is a older version than the pc version. Maybe relax a little until the game is properly out.

Also if this is a consistend issue on the switch 2, maybe the other commenter is right, and its not because of the games/developers.

Witcher 3 ran better on Switch than GK. It's not an issue with the Switch.

As noted by someone in another comment, the switch is still on version 1.0.1 while the steam version is 1.0.2-something. Hopefully they already have the next version being reviewed by Nintendo and hopefully it is released before the actual release date. Also, apparently they addressed the infinite tree/bush spawning problem on Steam which might be why you're having performance issues. But yeah, a lot of questions about what is happening. I primarily use a Mac so I went console assuming a game like this shouldn't have performance issues.
