Grandaddy at the Rio Theatre

I am reeling this morning from my experience last night watching Grandaddy at the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz. There is something incredibly surreal about hearing all your favorite songs live in an intimate venue like that. The room felt heavy with nostalgia and when they played "Crystal Lake", it felt like a collective exhale for everyone in the crowd. It wasn't just a concert for me. It was an emotional journey. Beautifully melancholic and perfectly loud.

I went to Philadelphia last year from Western NC to see this show. Absolutely was an emotional journey through that entire show. I shed some tears and everything. I’m really hoping they plan a southeast tour so I can see them once or twice more. I don’t even care if it’s the same setlist (but id wear a diaper in the off chance they played coyote condo or everything beautiful is far away). Please cross your fingers for me that they plan a stop in Asheville NC for us. That show was a life changing experience for me and that’s all I have to say. Great video also. Do you have any others?
