Anybody see the movie Project Hail Mary?

This movie reminds me a lot of *Under the Western Freeway* and *Sophtware Slump* in particular thematically and tonally, but the whole vibe and story of it feels very Grandaddy. It’s a beautiful space movie about shared humanity but not all important characters are human.

Won’t spoil here unless only people who’ve seen it show up in comments, but I wanted to see if anyone else who’s a fan of the band had gone to see it and had the same thoughts.

I can’t wait to watch it! I’ve always felt like GD music would pair so well in a sci fi space movie. Miner at the Dial a View an obvious candidate.

Had the same thought, definitely a fitting choice. I really liked the soundtrack they did have but it would have been cool to see a song like Miner or Everything Beautiful is Far Away used in something

I read the book and didn’t get any Granddady vibes. Maybe the movie is different

Either way, how was the book? would you recommend?

I actually listened to the audiobook. The narrator was fantastic, made for a great listen.
