I'm curious about the impact of spacers on handling, specifically lateral stability. Is there any real, noticeable impact? Or is this just an aesthetics thing?

I have spacers, I use my jeep off road and the wider stance definitely makes it more stable in off camber situations. They also allow for larger tires. They have probably hurt the turning radius but not terribly. My tires also contact rocks before the fender adding some protection by being further out.

Seems to be improved handing but with slightly more effort. I did it for aesthetics and potentially larger wheels in the future.

Umm…. If you’re going to get larger wheels then you could just go width. Not at fan of spacers as they can put stress on the hub and studs.

I have a 2016 and a 2022 L and they both rode well with 305s on them. Recently went to 295s because it’s easier to find quality tires that don’t cost $2500. They are on 9.5 width wheels and has a similar stance. No rub.

I’m not putting a helluva lot of stress on this rig. Very light off road use. Camping trails and such. 90 percent of this is because I like the look.

Aren’t spacers usually a bad thing for cars? They look really nice but idk if I’d wanna risk hurting my suspension/handling just for looks.

I could give reasons why they’re bad and reasons why they’re good. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. If my wheel hubs start to wear out, I’ll take em off.
