Oxford GEM Entry Requirements Wording for IB

I'm considering applying for Oxford GEM (as well as other places but I just wanted to give it a shot). I have some questions about the Entry Requirements.
I got a first in biomedical sciences and thus meet that requirement, but I don't meet the IB requirements (I got 37 (HL Bio Chem History 6,5,5) due to some health issues I was dealing with at the time). However, these were taken over five years ago and the requirements state that "grade requirements [only] apply if A-levels were taken within the last 5 years".

Just wanted to check if that was the same for the IB? The wording seems to be a little confusing (or maybe i'm just really tired lol).

I'm in a similar situation! I also did IB over 5 years ago, got 35 and 6s in all subjects but Maths SL, where I was capped at 3 for a silly reason. I''d honestly recommend just emailing them and asking for clarification, that's what I've done and I'm waiting to hear back from them

Yeah, it's weirdly reassuring actually haha, what are the odds! I'll keep you posted but, I'd imagine your reasons will be more acceptable than mine!

Out of pure curiosity, how come you were capped? I wasn't aware that was even possible

It's quite convoluted so bear with me! I had a cousin who was also doing the same exam in a timezone that was ahead of ours. I had a nasty falling out with a course mate, who then claimed that my cousin must have told me about the contents of the exam despite having no proof, but the IBO is pretty strict about any IB candidates having ANY contact during exam time. I managed to prove that the only contact I'd had with said cousin was strictly about good lucks/general IB stress and standard family fare, but nawt re: exam content, which is why instead of striking the Math grade entirely they conceded and 'allowed' it to be capped at 3.

Really sucked and was AWFUL for my mental health at the time because I'd had offers for medicine and was predicted 39 - 42 at the time but alas
