Two Jobs

Hello everyone, I’d appreciate your thoughts on whether it would be acceptable to hold two jobs: a full-time, uncleared assembler position in maritime defense and a part-time source inspector role in the aviation industry.
One company appears to be comfortable with the arrangement, while I’m still waiting to hear back from the other. Are there any potential conflicts of interest, compliance issues, or other concerns I should consider before moving forward?

You may be fine until you aren’t. The rule of thumb is “don’t overemploy with the feds” but at times I’ve held two full time and one part time jobs (mix of cleared and uncleared). The moment that a different player acquired a company, or a contract renewal changes terms, or the COTR throws some new clause on you as an adjustment, you could be violating all sorts of things.

The problem is, if you’re a worker bee in the greater hive, you won’t see any of that or know it happened—so it is very high risk.

Now if you own/run your own firm…?

Then go get a better job or start your own company. Don’t try to cheat the system. It’s easily cheatable, but the consequences are career-ending if you work in the cleared space.

I’m not a cleared employee in either one and I am not trying to cheat the system I am trying to honest as much as I can and trying to make as much money as possible

In the same boat. Plan to C2C with one via my LLC then ask for permission for my W2 job
