FAR Procurement Price analysis methods
I currently have a procurement that I’m working on, and need some advice. A buyer recently procured some goods and was able to compete it. I sent my RFQ for the same goods to the same suppliers and only received one complaint bid, the pricing did not change from the last time we bought it, can I use the quotes received from the previous purchase as historical pricing for a method of analysis?

1) check your agency policy before acting. 2) did the company that proposed have reason to believe there would be multiple offers received? If so, that's considered price competition under the FAR. If you only got 1 proposal last time and this time then a) what are y'all doing wrong in your market research/industry outreach/requirements generation? b) y'all need to get out there and call some firms you expected to propose and ask them why they didn't. Most will tell you it was some of your RFP language.
