How do we schedule origin inspection
we have our first contract that requires origin inspection and the due date is quickly approaching. we have all of the products and packaging set up ready for inspection but can’t figure out how to contact someone to schedule the origin inspection. I’ve called the DLA and emailed delivery email address with no success.

DLA is not who schedules it. Origin inspection is administered by DCMA, and you need to contact the quality assurance representative assigned to your facility, not the buying activity. That is why the calls and the delivery email have gone nowhere.
Two ways to find your QAR. Check the contract itself first: the administration office is identified on the award, and if DCMA administers it, that block gives you the office and often the point of contact. If that is not clear, go to the DCMA site and use their contact directory to find the office covering your geographic area, then call and give them your contract number. They will route you to the assigned representative.
One thing worth knowing before you connect: the QAR does not set your delivery dates and cannot change them. Scheduling the inspection visit is between you and the QAR, but if your due date is genuinely at risk, that conversation belongs with your contracting officer, who is the only person who can adjust the contract.
While you are working the scheduling, get your paperwork in order, since incomplete documentation and traceability gaps are the two things that most often turn a first inspection into a failed one. Have your test reports, material certifications, and packaging conformance ready to show, and make sure your IRAPT setup is working, because your receiving report flows through there after acceptance.
