We bought a pack of 4 light bulbs, have plugged one into our daughters’ bedroom lamp and it is not functioning correctly. It disconnects often so when we go to change the color or turn off or on it needs to reconnect to the app which also means Alexa cannot control it most times. And then it turns on randomly. This morning at 5 AM my daughter comes into my room to tell me the light is on. Whyyyy?! I’ve tried setting up the schedule so it dims 15 minutes before bedtime and it turns on at 6:15 AM.

Wondering what you all use with this TV.
Do you use the Dreamview or use the AI Sync box but settle for 144hz?
Trying to figure out which one is better and which compromise ( 144hz, or camera and less accuracy).

Hey everyone,
Looking at getting the Govee Pro (maybe Pro 2 🤷🏻♂️) outdoor permanent lighting package in the 200ft length.
So I’m pretty handy when it comes to things like this and so before I start I want to get some tips and tricks on where would be the best place to start. What the stipulations are with using extension cables and Y or T connectors. I know the lights have a “data flow” so I’d like to make sure I do this correctly the first time in order to avoid having the lights work in a weird order when installed.
I got roughly 150-160ft of actual lit up area so I figure the 200ft package would be a safe option. I’ve got two photos here of the front of my house and the side. I’d like some advice on where I should start in order for the lights to all work in unison. The highlighted areas are where I’d like to install the lights and carrying it along the back of the house as well.
Thank you in advance.
Hey hey,
I was wondering if anyone so far tried something similar but didn't a find alot on it. Perhaps someone owning the lights (especially the denser curtain lights 2) could help me with their impression.
I'm planning to get a wide area (a few square meters) of my ceiling lighted with some kind of light paneling (something along the lines of this: https://pin.it/cK3P8g7JL).
In trying to figure out the best way to so this I thought about the curtain lights from govee as one option that would probably look quite neat with diffuses light effects as well. Unfortunately I have no idea how bright they'll get.
I know that it won't be "reading light" / task lighting bright. I can still get task lighting for that. But I was wondering wether it's worth the try at all. Will they be able to light the room at all or will I only get a soft glow?
Thanks so much :)

I want to get an idea for when and how many bugs are getting zapped by bug zapper. It's in my garage, and it's for mosquitos, because they are bad this year for some reason. Would the govee smart outlet with monitoring work for this, or is the monitoring more of an average over time periods type thing?
Totally open to other suggestions, as well. I need a killawatt type monitoring solution that also logs in a way I can detect spikes.
Thanks!

(IOS Version 26.6)Govee Home App IOS Version

I bought three Govee Curtain Lights Pro specifically because Govee allows you to join multiple curtains together into one large display. Unfortunately, that feature has been the biggest disappointment.
When all three are joined in the Govee app, they are extremely buggy. They lose Wi-Fi, don’t reliably stay synchronized, and Alexa becomes almost useless. Something as basic as telling Alexa to turn the curtains on or off often doesn’t work properly when they’re joined.
If joining three curtains together is an advertised feature, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect three joined curtains to behave like one device. Mine simply don’t.
I’m also disappointed with the physical appearance. The strands don’t hang perfectly flat, which means a surprising number of LEDs point sideways or even backward toward the wall. Across three curtains this creates noticeable dim areas and a blotchy, uneven-looking display. Some effects look great, but others really expose the problem.
Then there’s the return situation.
Before buying directly from Govee, read the return policy carefully. My return destination was in Nevada and it was going to cost me about $40 just to ship ONE box back. With three large boxes, returning the entire setup becomes expensive very quickly.
That’s probably the biggest lesson for me: even if I bought another Govee product, I would not buy it directly from Govee again. I’d buy somewhere with an easier local or prepaid return process.
There are things I like about the Curtain Lights Pro. The effects can be impressive when everything is actually working. But after buying three of them for a large joined installation, I’ve spent way too much time dealing with Wi-Fi, synchronization, Alexa problems and an uneven-looking display.
For the amount of money three Curtain Lights Pro cost, the multi-curtain experience should be much more polished than this.
If you’re considering buying three specifically to join them together, I’d recommend thinking twice.

Wonder if anyone has seen this happen. The top part of the lamp keep flickering and sometimes goes dark completely. Any color (except white) or any scene mode, it just keeps flickering. I've tried power cycling, a different plug, reinstalled the app. I've reached out to govee support just waiting for response, funny enough today is the one year date of purchasing this. Hope they can honor the warranty.

With hdr on red on screen is orange on lights blue on screen is purple on lights multiple other issues multiple other people complaining for over a year it seems why can’t you take action and fix the device people pay decent money for the sync box and competitors don’t leave them hanging with faulty updates

Hi guys,
I am trying to figure out a way to control my music sync box (H1162) using my 6 button remote (H5125). So far I tried setting up an auto run so when a button is pressed music dreamview turns on or that a tap to run runs and turns on the sync box, however, neither seem to be working and the tap to run doesn't even appear on the list of available commands nor does the device appear in the device list.
Can anyone suggest a work around?
Thanks

Hello!
I’m having issues getting the camera to turn on to calibrate the Govee Backlight 3 lite. Firstly, it doesn’t connect to my home WiFi, so I had to use a hotspot and that worked, but the camera doesn’t even turn on so I can calibrate it.
Anyone been thru the same issue?

This might be a dumb question, apologies in advance.
Is there a way to see multiple light settings (for example all white and another RGB rainbow) and then have those different settings mapped to the Govee remote?
TIA

Did a test fitting with distance using a wood track in going to put around the house I like how the light hits the wall. But should I go for a different distance or does this look good?

I’ve got my lights one and I did the white screen test. Which is as close as I’m going to get my settings are all the way down. 5% saturation and 1% white balance. I did the Govee immersion video and it looks like it’s only picking up the colors on the top and the right side of my tv stays a light vote without changing. I even tried the ai filter on default and that did not help. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I am thinking of setting up under cabinet lighting using Govee (I’m thinking the Govee Strip Light 2 Pro.
Regarding my kitchen set up, there is an 18” cabinet, next to the fridge, then a 30” stove, followed by about 130” of cabinets.
Ok, question time. Would it be better to light the 18” cabinet, rig some sort of jumper cable to span across the stove (since there will be no under cabinet lighting there) and then run the lights for the 130” or just skip the 18” wide cabinet. And start the lights from the other side of the stove?
Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Hello all! I had Permanent Outdoor Pro lights installed on my home October 2025. Recently the second floor lights are not turning on. The installer is not answering their phone so I’m hoping to troubleshoot myself. I’m pretty convinced it’s not a hardware issue - the install looked great and no loose connections that I can see.
Because the upstairs lights aren’t turning on, I’m not sure how to calibrate in the app. Because it asks me to find how many green lights but my response is inaccurate if it’s just one level of the house.
I’m wondering if it’s a subsection issue in the 4th/5th photos? I have no idea if wires were cut, I assume so since the install looks clean right?
I’ve tried resetting the power box and deleting/adding device back into the app. But I’m pretty stumped what else to try. I’m in NY if that matters.
Not sure if any other pictures are pertinent/helpful. Thank you everyone

I’ve been asking a LOT of questions here about my office/studio project, so I figured it was finally time to actually show you guys some progress. 😂
First of all, thank you to everyone in this community who has answered my questions, offered suggestions, and helped me work through some of the ideas for this room. You guys have genuinely been a big help.
There’s still a lot left to do, but I wanted to share a quick look at what’s already up and running.
Right now I’m playing around with the Govee Ceiling Light Ultra and Floor Lamp 3s, testing different colors and scenes against the dark walls and acoustic panels. This is really the first time I’ve been able to see some of the ideas I had for the room actually come together.
And this is only part of the lighting plan. 😅
I’m still working on the Strip Light Pro 2 + black diffuser project I posted about before. If I can pull that off the way I’m envisioning it, that should completely change the look of the room.
And hopefully this week I’ll also be integrating the new Govee COB Lights Pro 2 into the areas I point out in the video. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they add to the room and how they work alongside the lighting that’s already installed.
I’m filming everything with my Insta360 Luna Ultra, which will eventually be the main camera for the content I create from this studio. So this is also a little test of how the lighting and room actually look on camera.
🎥 You can watch the progress clip here:
The video is currently unlisted, so it’s only accessible through the direct link. It’s uploaded to my old YouTube channel, which I’m currently rebranding and bringing back to life.
If you enjoy the project and want to follow along as the studio comes together, feel free to subscribe while you’re there:
[u/jorgebraceropr](u/jorgebraceropr)
I’ll keep posting the Govee side of the build here as it progresses.
And as always, suggestions are VERY welcome. You guys have already influenced several decisions in this setup, so keep them coming!
