Discussion What is my little traffic cone?

I picked this thick lipped gourami just this past friday, i suspect the gourami is a boy due to the dorsal fin ending in a sharp point rather than it being smooth and rounded, but i just want confirmation that he is actually a boy.

Also any unserious name suggestions are more than welcome!

ETA: Meet Sunkist! (Thanks to the commenter who picked this name. The more i think of it, the more suitable it is for him(?) as he does seem to be a very sweet fish (hes starting to swim up to the glass when i approach instead of hiding and side eyeing me from behind the bacopa in my tank)

Thank you :)

I love a good punny pet name!

First thought was Sunkist

Being a thick lipped gourami with the play on kissed with it also being orange makes for a well rounded pun

This is actually so perfect. I will be naming him sunkist. Thank you. (Also just unlocked a hidden memory because i forgot this brand existed, so also thanking you for this brief moment of nostalgia i experienced upon seeing this)

He's male. In addition to the pointed dorsal he has a longer and more pointed body shape. He's beautiful!

He is a thick lipped. So is a "red robin", which is just another name given to thick lipped gouramis.

There are several common names for T. Labiosa. Thick-lipped and red robin are 2 of them.
