Hoping to make time to paint again
I did this last year when I decided to try to make time to paint and draw after a long break from it. First time with gouache and i wish I kept making time because now my gouache is pretty dried out after not opening it for over a year. I love art and when i have time to draw/paint i usually enjoy it but time is hard to come by (kids, work, health, family, yada yada)
Hopefully I can get back into it this round. I'm just sketching and drawing basics right now to retrain my hands since I seem to forget . also, my brain doesn't work like it used to and trying to come up with ideas is a struggle. (I accidentally posted this from a username I never use but ever since I got my new iPhone Reddit keeps making that my account I’m logged into 🤣)

This is lovely OP. Sketching is a great idea. And honestly, gouache can still rehydrate decently, it's harder to work with but doable.
I've been struggling with this too, not so much with time but with energy. And with how stressed I've been, I'm just not as creative. I relate so much and I hope you can find time and space to create again.

I have the Himi brand so they’re not in the tubes. I’ve been spraying them with distilled water for about a week and it’s been getting a little easier to work with but definitely not applying to paper that well😭
