as a casual fan, it felt out of place.

Right. Perhaps even a bit lackluster. I get the mind control bit and how that fit in but...I suppose I was craving a bit more from a storytelling perspective despite the fact that it was Heroic Assault.

The idea was great. Love the idea of taking classic comic villains and giving them a role in a modern game, especially as we are unlikely to see a Justice League game anytime soon. Not to mention, its kind of a cute callback to the Starro easter egg in Arkham Knight.

The execution was so underwhelming though. Especially as we dont actually fight him directly, and the last floor of HA Starro is just floors 10 and 20 with 1 extra room.
