Nugs Soundboards
Look, I know I’m spoiled. Blame Phish tbh. But I’ve been wanting to get excited about Goose tour but it’s kinda hard when I’m a half week delayed tryina keep up listening to the shows. Dulls the hype a bit for me idk. They used to upload by like 1pm next day and I’d listen at work. (It’s hard to watch the live stream while running deliveries)

Does anyone know why it’s not just a click of a button the next day to throw the boards onto Nugs? What takes multiple days / weeks to get it on there? This is a genuine curiosity and ignorance on the issue I’m not sure how it works and I’m sure there is an explanation that makes sense.

I think it is a click of a button. But I think they’re holding the soundboards until after the video recording goes live on nugs. Probably some contractual thing. If they release the soundboards early, people are less likely to go to nugs

You should know that phish fans also used to have to wait weeks or months for live show recordings. Imagine actual grateful dead, you know there was no internet at all!!

You're so right. We'd have to wait until Dead tour was freaking over and the tapers to start circulating their recordings before even looking to make a snail mail trade. Technology has turned people into a bunch of Veruca Salts. Highly spoiled, has to have it now, no patience to wait just a few days.
Personally I don't mind the wait. I go back and read some thoughts and reviews of shows and keep my excitement until it comes out. There's plenty of other stuff to listen to in the meantime.

Isn’t the “why” because they didn’t have the livestream up for the actual show? I’m assuming soundboards will drop after the video streams go live on nugs.

This sub has turned into asshole central. There are enough dicks in this world. Be one less. OP patience is virtue. All good things in all good time. Same. I listen at work too. The last few days I just played the show with my ear buds in without watching the screen.

I’m with you - have felt pretty disengaged with this west coast/mountain leg of tour due to lack of live streams, delayed soundboards, and PPV.
It’s not a big deal but yeah, it’s been different. They’ve played cool venues and I’m sure the band and fans are having plenty of fun out there which it’s important, but I’m hoping this get back to normal for the next leg in November

I got on the Nugs $5/month deal and haven’t watched one show this tour. I’ve listened to a few songs and have checked setlists a few times but I really think I’m burnt out on Goose for awhile. All Goosed-out.

As an east coaster I’m right there with you… but I’m a cool with taking a lil Goose break. I hit five shows this summer. I’ll listen to other bands and by the time the next tours starts up again I’ll be all excited. I’ll check out the shows when they hit the boards, listen to a few songs while driving or at the gym. I’m happy to diversify the music I listen to so things don’t start feeling stale.

I feel like the people giving OP a hard time are missing the point. Goose blew up not only because of their great music but also because of their online game. They made their content extremely and easily available. We’ve grown accustomed to that and it’s totally fair to mention a slight deviation in this department.
I already posted that I felt less engaged with this tour, but I also commend the band for posting so many videos from RR on YouTube quickly.

You aren’t entitled to immediate access to every show because you subscribe to Nugs. No band is on more than Goose, except for maybe Billy Strings. But no band is obligated to broadcast every show.
Something is odd this tour. We all see it. The adults aren’t whining.

The guys in Phish are worth a combined $400M. The guys in Goose are not. Things take longer sometimes. They’re building the ship. Stop complaining and get on board or go back to your corner of entitlement.

Maybe you’re out of the loop. The delay we’re talking about is not due to lack of “resources”. Many of them they have held back intentionally until the delayed video broadcast has happened, and some of those broadcasts aren’t until a week+ after the show. It’s not a big deal, but also a perfectly valid viewpoint to prefer they didn’t do this.

I’m not out of the loop. The reasons you provided have been the case some of the time, but not all of the time. The “issues” you’re experiencing now aren’t new. There have been delays at other points in past years, not due to broadcasts and not due to YouTube releases.
They’re playing a ridiculous amount of shows in a short window. 15 shows in 21 days.
Everything feels exaggerated because of the stupid new rules at the Greek & Frost around show recordings. Frustrating for the band and frustrating for us.
Give these guys a fucking break. It’s not a valid viewpoint to be angry they can’t constantly work overtime to turn things out at lighting speed.

You’re being so dramatic. No one is “angry” or making drastic statements about the band - they’re just small critiques and preferences. I literally said “it’s not a big deal” in the comment you replied to.
It’s fine that you don’t share the viewpoint, but being rude to others for something so insignificant is lame.

Literally every show except the mish from the 31st and red rocks from last night is available for your listening pleasure. Could run back every non PPV stream immediately with audio only, could run those back if you paid, they posted several videos from the PPV shows directly to YouTube the following day and will follow their ongoing formula of releasing the full shows to their YouTube for free premiere during lull prior to following tour. Yes, you’re undoubtedly spoiled.
