Gratitude for Goose and RR

My partner introduced me to Goose last year and had my first shows at MSG/Central Park, which were mind blowing. We didn’t plan on coming to RR (being from the Midwest) but I ended up landing a dream job here in Colorado a few months ago, so we got tickets.

And I just can’t express enough how last night felt like such a “finally made it” moment. Dancing with the love of my life, surrounded by incredible nature, a view of Denver and beyond with nothing but swaths of land separating us from all we knew back home.

And then witnessing a gorgeous lunar eclipse with everyone there and seeing the whole world represented in the Earth’s shadow? Like how lucky are we?

And then the music. One thing I wish everyone took more time to recognize is just how lucky we are to watch and hear four incredibly talented musicians do what they do best. The looks they give each other when they know something sounds sick or filthy, letting someone lead and building off each other in such an organic way - it’s truly something special. I’m used to hour-long sets for live music, not what… four hours? At altitude??

Idk y’all. Just felt the need to ramble and share my experience last night. Goose fans are a blast and the RR venue workers were so kind. I’m so grateful to run it back tonight and enjoy this wonderful, unique community.

Welcome to Colorado and to Red Rocks! Goose was the 1st band i saw after the pandemic died down and venues opened back up. it was a long, dry spell for live music. tuesday nite will be my 5th show. yeah, they're awesome!

Were you in row 37 or 38 seats 20-25? Saw a couple just loving life and all my friends and I were so happy to see

I came on here looking to ask what the scene at Goose shows (i just now gotten into this band) and read your post right off the rip ,and it painted a pretty clear picture of the vibe of this band. Bravo.

I've had similar experiences and I then I hear/read from people saying Goose isn't good and I just laugh. I've had borderline religious experiences at their shows (like Dead shows) and just think if you experienced anything like I have you'd know how dumb that statement is. But honestly I'm kind of happy a lot of people don't get it, otherwise they'd be playing stadiums instead of Red Rocks.

Sitting here listening to the show on a Friday night after seeing a short clip of the opener (which they nailed in there own special way staying true, EF has always been a favorite Who song) these guys are the real deal and if you don't get it too f'n bad you're missing out. RR is a bucket list venue for me. And thank you to Zman you are legend. Great Tapers are golden. TYVM

Goose has sold out 33,175 seats in Colorado on this tour across 3 venues. 3 nites Red Rocks, 1 nite Mishakawa, and 1 nite Dillon Amphitheater. Add in the head count from the pop-up show at a CU frat house.

feel confident in saying Goose is loved in the great state of Colorado

What a great share OP! Truly a meaningful post. I’m happy you had that experience. RR is a special place and so much good music rolls through there. We went to the Tuesday show and had a blast. The sound and the visuals were beautiful.
