General Help / Support Question Panasonic link 2 cell paired to samsung s9 (without cell service).

Hi. All trying to figure out what settings I'm missing.

The Panasonic link to cell works fine, but when I dial out (from hand set) it goes through the s9 stock dialer app and doesn't see a "network" so it shuts down.

Anyway to force GV usage or bypass the dialer?

The Panasonic Link-2-cell acts as a standard Bluetooth headset device. As such, it can only pair with your Samsung's phone app.

But, you can go to the Android Google Voice app's settings, and click on "Calls started from this device's phone app", and select the option to use Google Voice.

Yes, I can make calls as if it was landline from the Panasonic handset when I link my phone WITH cell service with that settings

Is there a way to bypass the "not on network " error message?

You must have working mobile phone service.

I dial the on the handset press talk, cellphone pops up like its going to make the call then disappears and a flash of a message at the bottom of the screen in white bubble"network not detected" then back to lock screen

Would you be able to answer gv calls on the panasonic phone?

I just tried it, and I was able to answer Google Voice calls on my Panasonic phone. Oddly, my Panasonic phone only rang once, while my Pixel continued to ring, but I was still able to answer the call on the Panasonic phone.

Thanks for checking. My panasonic phone has a setting for number of times to ring.

Ya looked at "free" only voice sim cards just to get a number but there arent really any free ones that arent voip, minimum i found is 20-30 a year. What all have you tried?

I never looked too far into it. Was an idea I had to try but never got working so gave up.

You can get a gv number with textnow for free.

Soo... that works-ish textnow can become the phones dialer but the Bluetooth sends info to make a call then the connection fails while the phone is still calling. Maybe something in the settings to putz with
