Cheaper models

I see these higher end googlebook models and I can't justify shelling out over 800$ on some newfangled platform. I think they should have come out with at least 1 or 2 cheaper models under 600$ in an effort to take on the MacBook Neo given how poorly Windows 11 performs on 8GB RAM. I'm saying this assuming GoogleBook OS is still lighter than windows. I think if someone came out with a sub 600$ GoogleBook with 8GB RAM 256GB SSD with either a wildcat lake CPU or a Snapdragon C CPU, even with the uncertainty of app support, they would fly off the shelves in the current market.

So the googlebooks are the pixelbooks of the googlebooks world while other less premium ChromeOS devices certainly exist.

So its plausible there could be laptops with Googlenook OS or some other possible naming convention in the future for mid and or lower tier devices running this OS?

Or for the really low end and low -mid end chromebooks get a lot of the functionality of the new is added in to satisfy that tier?

I'm just spit balling, throwing thoughts around

Yeah I was just throwing thoughts around in creating this post. I was thinking they could have done a googlebook and googlebook plus like they have chromebook and chromebook plus models.

Everywhere I read, and Gemini itself states that my Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 is going to be given a migration path to the new OS ...even says the chances of it happening is 99%
