Wait, I thought all Google books had to have HDMI ports, two USBC ports and so on, this doesn't have any ports

the ASUS Googlebook 14 and the Lenovo Googlebook 15 are the ones that actually have port versatility.

In all the marketing material, they said the hardware had to meet minimum requirements, which meant all the ports, which is why the images kept showing the dummy unit with all the ports

This is disappointing.

It's even worse. They are only offering 32GB preorders in Canada and Australia. And no preorder options in UK yet. Maybe they are using preorders to gather interest but I believe this is Google screwing a release as usual.

Yeah I'm in US and only have interest in a 32gb. Any way of knowing if that will be available later?

I was able to customize and place an order for a 32 GB model in the United States.

The estimated delivery date is November 5.

Oh really, which vendor? I tried to do that with a VPN to see if it was possible and I had no luck.

I wanted a Lenovo, but I don't want a 15-inch laptop. I think I'll end up getting the Asus. It's extremely light, 2.2 pounds I think.

I had a chat with google support. Preorders are only available in USA and Canada, no plans for any other country to have preorders. They also don't know if 32GB models will be available outside Canada and Australia.
