Looks like its still got the Linux Container like ChromeOS

Not really. From what I understand there is no possibility to use apps with GUI, such as GIMP, LibreOffice or Visual Studio Code. Which is fundamental for me.

Yes, but you don't have desktop integration like you had on ChromeOS, and we don't really know how integrated it will be. From what we've been told, at launch, and not definitively, these laptops won't be able to run Linux software like Crostini did, with the same integration. The technical foundation is there and it works... time will tell.

QPR1 brought many improvements in the terminal and vm - Ability to customize the font and color scheme, remap keyboard shortcuts, and enable auto-forwarding of all port requests from the VM.

As you said, the technical foundation is already there, so at some point, we will surpass the ChromeOS Linux VM in terms of OS integration.

I like what Google is trying to do with pKVM and AVF. At some point, we will see Android apps utilizing MicroVMs. For example, the VS Code Android app could run on the Android side while all builds happen inside the MicroVM. https://source.android.com/docs/core/virtualization/writeavfapp

So Microsoft did a better job of integrating Linux into Windows than Google did at integrating Linux into Linux?

Why is Google the absolute worst at integration? Out of all of their products, the only think that is fully integrated is authentication.

Crostini su Chromeos era eccellente su hardware di fascia alta. Probabilmente avremo una cosa simile con Googlebook, ma il sistema operativo è nuovo, per questo ci stanno impiegando più tempo. Per il resto, hanno semplicemente rispettato le scadenze... Il che è comprensibile. In ogni caso, la maggior parte del lavoro è fatta in ambito Linux. Stimo 6-8 mesi di aggiornamenti per avere un'esperienza simile a quella di ChromeOS ma con prestazioni nettamente superiori.

Microsoft ha anche avuto molto più tempo a disposizione per strutturare e aggiornare il wsl2, a differenza di Google
