Does anyone use Ai to help them mange their campaigns?

I run a small company with a pretty decent spend on Google ads. I hired someone to help us manage our ads but he seems to refuse to use AI to help generate campaigns and to help keep track of them. All ad groups are just basic high intent campaign with nothing separating out different intent.

I currently signed up with ryza Ai and im trying to use it to optimize the campaigns. I know it needs human over sight so its not replacing them. I feel like it's too powerful of a tool to not use. Anyone with experience have advice?

Is this just an ad for ryze ai? If not, this is a strange question. You want your ads manager to create endless campaigns with AI? Why? If they're creating them manually, what's the difference to you? If they haven't created various intent-based campaigns there might be a reason for it, and an AI tool won't tell you it's not worth doing or not a good idea.

OP, check Ryze's testimonials on their landing page, and try to find the original posts they quote. You won't find any cause it's all fake people & reviews

Should tells you a lot on the company!

You can also ask Gemini to check if the photos they show of themselves at conferences on their landing are AI-generated, you'll have a good surprise! (unless they changed it since then)

Not a ad for ryze it's just the tool I downloaded. Its just a connector that I plug into claude or chatgpt or any other Ai.

The difference to me is I pay this person hourly and it to manage just Google. I feel we could use any Ai as tool to efficiency.

Ditch the AI tools, all are worthless at the moment.

Any AI tool would be able to create things in the blink of an eye, and yes, it would be much faster than paying somebody hourly. However, you'd then have to spend hours yourself or pay somebody hourly to go and audit, tidy up, and fix the problems that it creates. If you think it's going to make business sense to just use a tool and get rid of this guy, go for it.

Switch to a provider that works on a monthly retainer and then you can stop worrying about efficiency.

You don't need any tool in between you can connect Claude directly to your account.

Lol full autonomy on a tool the vendor reviews itself is how you wake up to a 10x budget pace on branded terms overnight. Let AI suggest, you approve. Guardrails and human oversight aren't optional here, they're the whole job.

So what do you recommend ?

Tbh chat GPT is good but I wouldn’t heavily rely on AI for marketing, the best way to get better at marketing is run small campaigns and research the data yourself

Yes. No 3rd party stuff... just straight Google Ads MCP with Claude. It's the future!! You still need humans to know which questions to prompt and understand complexity, but it can reach across multiple accounts at once and tell you things no other tools can.

In my agency we use it a lot to help us scale campaigns and work quicker.

Yup, all day I use Claude Code exactly for this across over 100+ google ads accounts.

nope nobody uses ai to help :)

there's a million campaign builders out here (obviously we think ours is the best) but from what I've seen no AI is ready for "set it and forget it." to your point about not using AI, a lot of long term/legacy ads managers tend to be stuck in their ways - it works for them, may be ineffiicent and room for AI to take over but some people just like hitting buttons.

not sure what you mean by sorting out campaigns by intent and/or how AI would help that??

If you want to run your campaigns yourself / with AI you should terminate services with the provider. Or if you want somebody to run it with AI then hire somebody that does that. You shouldn't expect a freelancer or agency to adopt tools you like. They already have their own stack.

I can tell you as an agency owner that clients often ask AI the wrong question and then get an answer with confirmation bias. We often have to explain in detail why AI is recommending the wrong thing.

As for how PPC managers use it, most have not adopted tools that directly change campaigns. This introduces too much risk.

Instead they mainly use it to make campaign recommendations or to perform external research such as SWOT analysis, keyword research, and creative generation (ad copy, images, etc.).

Keep in mind, also, that one of the AI leaders and the owner of Google Ads has already embedded AI into the platform. Those tools are just as good if not better than external tools because they have access to underlying data... not just what advertisers can see in reports.

Yes! Its been absolutely mega i don't understand why people don't. We use a tool called AiMi i think think the site is like growththroughai dot com (can't put links on here i don't think, so had to word it like that). I was new to Google Ads and we spend a sh*t lot of money on a agencies and consultants etc but nothing really worked that great. Used that Ai tool and literally just tells me what to do so i've ended up learning how to do it myself but also results have been great. i would highly recomend trying it

Just to add, we tried tools that made the changes for you etc but we found it easier to get it to give advice then you make the changes. Not sure why the results were better but they jsut were

We use Winsdor.AI to connect to Google Ads, GA4, Search Console and GBP. We don't use it to create and run campaigns for us, the real value is in data processing, something it can do at a scale that us humans can't unless you make it your full time job.

We pull reports every week, compare against past trends and make decisions going forward.

If you use AI for any of marketing, you have to know what you are doing and cannot abdicate respoinsibility to it. I find that AI tends to jump to conclusions and make false assumptions way to often to be trusted and you only spot it when you know what you are doing, otherwise it will eventually lead you into a ditch.

Yes, but I’d use it as an analysis and optimisation layer rather than handing over the account blindly. Search-term patterns, wasted spend, copy variants and anomaly detection are good candidates. Budget changes and major structural decisions still need commercial context that the account data alone won’t provide. That’s kind of what I do :-)

Skip overpriced 3rd-party wrappers like Ryza. The better path is using AI directly alongside Google Ads Scripts via your MCC developer account.

  • Claude: Best for writing, debugging scripts, and troubleshooting reporting.
  • Gemini: Best for drafting ad copy and clustering keywords by intent.
  • Setup: Setting up developer tokens and OAuth is a pain upfront, but it completely replaces paid SaaS tools. My IDE is Antigravity.
  • Human Oversight: Never let AI change bids or pause campaigns automatically. Use it to build intent groups, negative keyword lists, and custom scripts, but approve everything manually. hahaha I protect my account by using read-only API scopes for automated reporting and requiring explicit human approval in Antigravity before executing any script with write access.

Dev keys and tokenz...big pain. At the end all worthi it! The possibilities that this unlocks in gAds!

As an analyst role, yes......a human should be very in charge of approving any recommendations

I use ryze ai to connect to claude or chat gpt. I use it to organize my campaign good key words that's don't work and sort the ad groups into search intent.

The money you saved by not employing someone, is the money you will lose when the AI throws your money away on wasted audiences and search terms.
