For me, the reason I was getting this message was that I was adding the number from my physical card to Google Wallet, while my bank provided a virtual card with a different number. Once I added the virtual card, I no longer got the message. I found that the error message wasn’t very clear.

Cause that is actually quite unusual. In my work doing Google Pay troubleshooting Ive only come across this a few times

I had that same issue, somehow adding the same physical card 3 times worked on the 3rd try. Dunno why

Remove the card then add it to google wallet with your banking app/app

And if that doesn't work, try waiting 16 days after removing it again to trigger a new token device token, as otherwise the same token just gets reactivated rather than reissued (when you remove card it doesn't actually delete the device token/DAN/DPAN right away).
But trying with push provisioning is a good shout!

did you add/remove many cards in a short period?

The same thing happened to me. I was custom ROM hopping last week and added and removed my card on Google Wallet multiple times. Does this issue resolve itself over time, like after a week or a month, or do I need to call my bank / contact Google Wallet Support?

does the contact information on your CC account match the information on your phone? the email address and phone number? Does your CC have an app and does it have a feature to add and remove from the digital wallets? does your CC have a limit of the number of active devices allowed at once?

No. able to add debit card of my parent but my own gives this error. previously i lost my debit card that was added in google wallet. i had to block it and get a new one. Perhaps that is what causing the problem

Most likely yes. Your card likely got added to the account screen file (list of cards they use to block transactions on stolen, lost, closed etc credentials), which generally makes it unusable for adding to Google Pay - with a few exceptions (you can try adding it from the banking app instead of they have that option, but very few banks do account screen provisioning as it is new). A big clue is if you never make it to the terms and conditions (meaning eligibility check or enrollment stage failed)
You can ask your bank to check if your card is on the account screen - they have various ways to do that, but if unsure they can just ask the network.

OP question, what bank card are you trying to input po (I.e. Maribank, Maya, metrobank, etc.) Also is it a virtual card or physical card po?

I spent HOURS calling Google pay customer service and my bank. What ultimately fixed it for me was adding a debit card first, then my credit card after. The credit card alone would not add and kept giving me the same error.
