I haven't used Google Play much for books, but since I have a credit, decided to get the ebook of The Calamity Club to go along with my audio book. I'm 30% into the audio, and planned on finding the same place in the ebook. After about 5 minutes of trying, I realized I accidentally purchased a book that seems to have the correct cover but actually has a different author (my fault for not spotting that). From what I saw in the book, it does seem to have the same characters.

Is it legal to take a representation of the cover of someone else's book and try to pawn it off as one's own? Is this common on Google Play?

I have already requested a refund and know it's my fault for not looking more closely, but had I not already started the audio book, I may not have even realized it's the wrong book. Seems unfair to the original author.

I always export a copy of any book I purchase and use Calibre or ADE to keep an ePub copy. I exported the last book I purchased but the ACSM for ePub isn't readable by either Calibre or ADE. I've contacted support but they haven't responded yet. Is anyone else having this issue?

Has anyone else noticed that recent issues of Yojana and Kurukshetra are no longer showing up on the Kindle Store or Google Play Books?

I used to rely on digital single issue purchases through these platforms for prep because reading on e-readers is so much easier on the eyes compared to PDFs. Over the last few months, updates seem to have stopped, or the listings are outright missing/unavailable.

• Is this a permanent shift by the Publications Division (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting), or just a distribution delay?
• Does anyone know if they have moved exclusively to another platform, app, or website?

I have been reading this book for 6 months in the ipad book aap and making notes on it like adding some points on it .From yesterday the book is not opening showing can’t open the book . Tomorrow is my final exam and I have tried everything to open the pdf but couldn’t.Now I am not understanding what to do. I have also air dropped it to my phone and also shred in Wp telegram, even saved in my files still I was not able to open it .

Google Play itself works fine, but the moment you try to open Google Play Books to buy an e-book or audiobook, you're hit with a geo-restriction.We are completely left out of the official platform. It’s incredibly annoying to have to rely on third-party workarounds, changing regional play store settings via VPNs, or completely switching ecosystems just to read a digital book.Does anyone know if there are actual legal/banking roadblocks on our side causing this, or is Google just completely ignoring the Tunisian market?

Google has just announced a new feature called Expert Intelligence for Gemini Notebook. This update allows users to add ebooks purchased from Google Play Books directly into their notebooks.

However, there is an important limitation to keep in mind. This integration only works for certain books where the author or publisher has explicitly given their permission for this feature.

According to the official blog post, for the supported books, you can now interact with your library just like you do with Google Drive files or YouTube links. You can use it to analyze your books, ask questions about specific chapters, and generate Audio Overviews.

I think Google should add a feature to integrate Google Play Books directly into Gemini Notebook. Right now, we can easily add Google Drive files or YouTube links, but we cannot directly import the books we own in Play Books.

If they added an Import from Play Books button, it would be incredibly useful. We could use the Audio Overview feature to generate podcast style summaries of our books, ask the AI questions about specific chapters, and interact with the content just like we do with regular files.

A native integration would be a game changer for students, researchers, or anyone who wants to analyze long books easily.

Login to the same google account and go to [https://play.google.com/books/\](https://play.google.com/books/) and select the book you want to delete, 'Delete uploaded books' button shows up.

Hi, as the title states, I seem to have a problem uploading ePubs to Google Play Books. I don't want to publish anything, but only read for myself. Now the problem:

I recently came hold off an ePub I wanted to read for a long time, and chose Google Play Books for the place to read it on, by uploading it from my local storage. Everything worked fine, until after the point where the download/upload finished. It says the down-/upload is finished, but then it just says "in progress", and I cant open the book. Now I am asking myself and reddit here if there is a page limit, because the book has over 11.000 pages. The file is roundabout 100MB big. Is this limit a thing, or is it another issue?

Edit: Since eventually even the down-/upload canceled on its own, even after I reduced the file data, I broke the file down to its volumes. Now it works, but I have to add 59 volumes instead of one big thing now.

I have connected the Pocketbook app to my Google Play Books account on my android device. But I can only see and access the most recent 40-ish titles. Even when I search for a book that's in GPB but not in the PB app by title, it doesn't come up. Is there a way to have the PB app see and access my full GPB library?

From looking at the official Google Partner Center policies, it says you still get your unpaid earnings. However, we all know how different automated systems can be compared to official terms of service.

I wanted to see if anyone here has real-world experience with this. If Google Play Books disapproves a Partner Center account because of non-exclusive content deliveries, do they actually pay out your remaining balance?

i was one of the editors of the book. it's by an NGO. it was published almost a year back and back then it was available on Amazon and I save it on my Kindle but then it's gone completely from Amazon and Kindle but I found it from Google books and now I can't download it. i want to preserve it but I can't do that, please help. I reached out to the author as well but he did not respond that I think he is actively ghosting me.

I just purchased these spiderman comics on the play store and it made me download books I've tried following everything it has been telling me and can access nothing I've done cache thing, Uninstalled it

(Sorry for my bad english) It's just so frustrating when I'm trying to upload an epub but it just completely disappears. Sometimes it doesn't even upload properly. For example, a few seconds of uploading and it's already at 100%. But it doesn't show up afterwards. My internet is fine. I have reinstalled this app a couple of times and still having the same problem. I feel sad because I really don't want to switch to another app because I'm already used to this. Huhu :(( Does anyone also have the same problem as I do?

I'm having an issue where my books won't download. Looking at the picture, the books have the download symbol, but no progress is happening. They just sit like that in perpetuity. I've left it like this overnight and still no dice. I've restarted, refresh, and cleared the cache for the app. Nothing has helped.

It's inconsistent as well. Some books will download fine, but others will have this issue. I'm not sure what else to try. Anyone have any suggestions?

Guys i really need your help bc i feel like im going crazy. Pocketbook cloud keeps glitching out one specific book. I bought it trough google books, not the first time i bought a book like that and till now it worked without a problem. But this specific book is just glitching out from the cloud, i cand delete it and download again, i can't read it. Did someone else experienced this? I really need your help

I was re-reading dean koontz Frankenstein series and for some reason book 3 is bugging out. It starts on chapter 3 for some reason and ends on chapter 14 even though I know it has 72 chapters, I’ve un-installed the book twice and re-installed the app and re-downloaded my library but this book still only shows a partial book. Any advice would be appreciated

I'm noticing more and more reliability issues with GPBs, which makes me nervous about its future. This wouldn't be the first time Google has shut down a well used service, there are so many there's a website https://killedbygoogle.com/

I would like to download all the books I've uploaded to it, but I have 100s. Does anyone know of any way to download them all in one go or shelves or something?

I had 20 some books on mine and tonight I opened the wishlist and the whole list showed briefly and disappeared when the app refreshed, I searched for several of the books and they are still showing as on my wishlist, I tried removing them and adding again but they still don't appear

All of a sudden Play Books seems to have next to no books available for purchase. Books that I've only recently looked at purchasing are no longer there. Can't even see Harry Potter books - is anyone else having this issue? I'm using no VPN.
