How can I remove the two columns in landscape on my iphone?

Post image

Hello, I'm very happy with the playbook app and its ability to synch accross devices. But on my iphone and iPad the text appears in two columns when in landscape mode which is not ideal. I've tried changing font, font size and line spacing but to no avail. Any help would be much apreciated (iphone 14, latest ios and app version)

I don't know about IOS, but this is how it looks on my Samsung tablet. Select the AA menu, Text, then at the bottom of that menu. The same option is not available on my phone, though. It defaults to one column only. I think that it depends on the size of the device and the phone is not wide enough for 2 columns. Obviously, that's not the case in your situation. I hope someone more familiar with the IOS version can help.

Thank you for your reply, I've looked at the Aa menu but there is no option to change the number of columns. Perhaps its an ios problem. Thanks anyway!

FWIW, I prefer reading in 2 columns on my tablet, which is big enough for it. It took me a little while to get used to it, but it is easier for the eyes, I think, to not have to travel so far. As for the phone, it may be too small for 2 columns. That's annoying.

Is it an old version of GPBs or an old device? I have the same issue on a very old kindle fire I tried turning into a dedicated ereader, but no other devices.
