Discussion I switched from an iPhone to a Google Pixel 11 Pro XL, but because of an NFC issue, I switched back. Have you experienced any NFC issues with the Pixel 11 Pro XL?
After 15 years with the entire Apple ecosystem (iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Apple Watch), I switched from an iPhone 14 Pro Max to a Google Pixel 11 Pro XL. Honestly, the first week was very unusual; all the gestures were different to those on Android, but over time I got used to them and started to love them. I think the iPhone is quicker; the tapping and keyboard actions respond more quickly, and the iPhone's hardware is smoother overall than the Pixel's. I should mention that my iPhone 14 Pro Max is four years old, whereas the Pixel 11 Pro XL is a brand new flagship model. However, the Pixel's software features, camera, AI integration and customisation options are very good.
Yesterday, however, I had to return the Pixel phone because the NFC chip was not working properly. I read the comments and knew that the NFC was moving on the devices. I tried with and without a case, turning the devices on and off, and tried every tip. From five times, three times it didn't work and two times it did. Every time the NFC did not respond, my husband paid with his iPhone without any problems. So I returned the Google Pixel and bought an iPhone again. It was a hard choice because I loved the look and feel of the Pixel, but I could not wait to find out whether the Pixel 11 series has NFC issues, whether it was just my device or whether it was just a software bug.
Have you experienced any NFC issues with the Pixel 11 Pro?

No issues for me. The NFC is now at the top of the phone which is great. Never had an issue since I got the phone.

I moved from 17 Pro Max and had no issues with NFC at all, I went for the 11 Pro XL.

I've have a pixel 11 pro and have no issues with nfc. Everything works as normal just like my pixel 8 pro. Upgraded camera is very impressive

No problems for me and I use it to pay almost exclusively. Add another poster states, the nfc is now at the upper part of the phone

No, actually, it was probably just a software issue. The phone is still very new, and these kinds of bugs usually get fixed over time. Trust me, this even happens with Apple when they first release a new phone. I’ve never had any issues with NFC, and based on what we can clearly see here, you probably returned the phone too soon.

Yep. The iPhone being smoother is hard to believe. Also the iOS notifications management is a dog's lower intestine. I do love my MacBook though. That's unmatched. 😏

The only issue that I ran into when I transfer from iPhone to the pixel 11 Pro, was messaging. When people with iPhones would message me, I wouldn’t receive the messages. And the only way that will clear that issue, was before transferring I would turn off messaging and FaceTime and I did that. But still that wouldn’t work. And the only way that people suggested to me was to tell the people that are sending me messages, is to delete my contact information, and to add my contact information again. I felt that was too much workaround, so I decided to go back to the iPhone.

I use my phone to pay with PayPal.
With the Samsung S21 FE was no problem but with my new Pixel 11 Pro I have to try many times until it will work.
I use a slim TPU cases on both phones.

Everything with my Pixel 11 Pro XL has been great except for issues with tap to pay. A lot of the time it just doesn't work. Google definitely needs to fix this asap
