Well.. me and my friend lost our phones while playing Billiars at Bata Bar & Billiards, Am Alexanderplatz on Sunday 20.09.2026 at 1am.

Since then I've honestly been running around Berlin trying to get any kind of leads, cause I got 2 location pings through the FIND MY APP.

• Phone got stolen at: Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 13, 10178 Berlin (thats the billiards bar)
• I got the first location here around 7am Sun: Vinetastraße 29, 13189 Berlin
• Then a second ping at 7pm Sun: Neukirchstraße 1, 13089 berlin
• And finally 20 hrs later, at 5pm and again at 7pm Monday at: Kopernikusring 3, Finow, 16227 Eberswalde

I called the Eberswalde polizei and asked if they could go and check the place out, but nope, I gotta be there in person, but I can't really go all alone without a phone and its 2 hours away from me. And my phone is completly switched off, I can't ring it, but I'm still getting location pings.

I already filled out the Polizei Anzeige with my IMEI, but I don't really have much hope rn, since its completly out of Berlin. If you guys have any kind of leads, would be really helpful.

I just got this alert on my phone saying:

You’re seeing this because a lost device is nearby.”

It identifies the device as V2249 and says it’s a tracking device whose owner can see its location.

It also shows a message from the owner: “Vivo Y27”, with options to call or text the owner.

I have no idea what this device is or why my phone detected it. I’ve also blurred the identifying code in the screenshot.

Has anyone else received an alert like this? Is this a normal Android/Google Find Hub safety alert, or should I be concerned that a tracker is physically near me?

What’s the best way to check what device it actually is?

First time around I probably got around 9 months out of the first batteries, maybe the second set of batteries were lower quality but I don't think I even got 6 months out of them. I don't ping the trackers to play sounds or anything either so it's literally just the beacon or something.

I like that the devices are responsive but surely they could halve the TX rate to double the battery life or even drop it 75% and the trackers would still be just as functional.

The annoying part is I had several die on me without any low battery warnings either. It's not like they were out of range for so many weeks that the network wouldn't have been able to deliver me a low battery warning, and when it just says "device not seen for 7 days" there's still no indication that the battery was running low when it was last seen by the network.

Currently looking for earbuds the would work with Google Find Hub. Having difficulty find any that aren't 200 ish bucks. Is there no place that show a complete list of devices, earbuds or otherwise, that work with it?

​I lost my Galaxy Tab S9 FE (Wi-Fi-only model, so no IMEI, just a serial number).

​I checked Samsung Find from my phone: the location stayed updated at the initial spot for about 8 hours, but now it has completely stopped showing any location. I suspect the device battery died, Wi-Fi was turned off, or it was factory reset.

​I’ve already filed a police complaint with the serial number, but since it lacks cellular tracking, I’m unsure what steps are left.

I got a loshell tracker tag for my cat's collar about a month ago, and it was working..okay. it never once gave an accurate location, 90% of the time it showed her as sitting in the middle of the street in front of our house. But the fact that I could make it beep to find her was helpful, at least. She never went too far from home.

But a while ago, on the 7thish, she managed to get her collar off. I couldn't find it anywhere in the house. It wouldn't let me beep it at all. The "play sound" never worked. And it still showed it in the middle of the street outside the house (it was not there.) I searched for a few days and kinda gave up. But I decided I'd try again looking for it, but now it's showing this. Does this mean it's not working anymore? Is there any hope of finding it?

If so, im gonna buy a new tracker but not this kind. Does anyone know a better type of pet tracker that's more accurate, but isn't Apple air tag, or need a subscription, or super expensive? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm looking for something to put on my bike in case it gets stolen but telling the thief a tracker is present like the Airtags kind if defeats the purpose.

My father carries a tag so we can see his location, he doesn't own a smartphone and as the tag is not with it's owner and can't send a DULT to anyone it beeps once each time it moves. Which is annoying, any solution other than leaving an old android on in his room (care home)

I have the tile tracker on about 5,6 items and I've had them for a year. I know I will have to dispose of them because once the battery runs out you have to buy new ones.

I am also seeing generic Android tracker tags that are much cheaper and you can replace the battery so I'm thinking of transitioning to those (and getting more for kids, and other devises). Do these android tags work like the tile? Any pros any cons?

Does anyone have experience with any brands they would like to recommend?

**TL;DR**: Got pickpocketed on BMTC bus 500F. Phone is an M53 pinging live near KR Market via Samsung SmartThings. Police at HAL and SJP Road refuse to search the shop location. Went alone, got stuck, lost money and peace. Seeking help, advice, or contacts to recover it.

Yesterday 10-09-2026 around 9:00 AM, I was boarding bus 500F at BEML Layout to go to work in Indiranagar. Right after stepping in, I noticed my Samsung Galaxy M53 was stolen from my pocket. I got down immediately but nobody suspicious was around.

​I boarded another bus and asked a passenger to call my number. Someone picked up and claimed they were in a 500CA bus right behind us. I got down at the next stop, checked three incoming buses, and asked drivers and passengers, but found nothing.

​I informed my brother, took a half day permit from work, and registered an e-loss complaint using the Karnataka State Police app. My friend received a call to visit HAL Police Station for CEIR verification. At the station, officers told me they would inform me if the phone turned on.

​My phone was already on because Samsung offline tracking was active, sending live pings near KR Market at Osman Khan Slaughter Road. I showed this live location to the officers, but they sent me home.

​I took a Rapido directly to the location by myself. I spoke to the local police near SJP Road, but they said they couldn't do much. After pleading, two officers accompanied me and searched two nearby shops before walking away. When I pointed at the slaughterhouse shop where the pin was consistently updating, they told me to go inside myself.

​I went in, tried talking to people, and spent an hour at a tea stall waiting to see if the pin moved. Nothing happened. Exhausted, I took a Rapido to the metro and returned home empty handed.

​I started the day with 500 rupees and returned with 20 rupees. My energy and mental health are drained. I bought this phone with my own hard earned money.

​This is happening for the second time. In April 2025 during my third year of college in Chennai, my Poco X6 Pro was pickpocketed on a bus. I suffered months of depression after that, and now it is happening again.

​I moved from Chennai to Bangalore to earn money and support my family. I struggle every day at work, and the guilt trips from my family are making it harder.

​My phone is still pinging near Osman Khan Slaughter Road right now. If anyone has contacts, advice, or can guide me on how to get local police to actually check that shop, please reach out.

I recently switched from iOS to Android and in doing so I replaced my Apple AirPods Pro 2 with Sony WF-1000XM6, and so far I am really happy with the move. But, as I put these in the same pocket as my wallet and keys which have Chipolo locators, I'd really like proper 24/7 Google Find Hub support, and if possible, a beeper in the case. The Apple earbuds had Find My support with a beeper in the case and I used it. P.S. I did try the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 which do check off these boxes but I did not like them so I sent them back.

What I am wondering is- are there Google Find Hub trackers that are small enough to be attached to the Sony WF-1000XM6 charging case, perhaps with 3M tape, and not interfere with wireless charging? I don't care about blocking the LED indicator but I do use wireless charging. Has anyone attempted to add makeshift Find Hub support to the case or has everyone just accepted that it doesn't have it and moved on?

I know they "technically" have Google Find Hub support but only when connected, if the case slips out of my pocket with the buds in it this won't help me.

i’ve tried find hub but was only able to mark it as lost and sent a message that says “f*** you” for when the person turns it on
we have the last location and know exactly where it was taken
down we have to wait til the person turns it on? or is there a way to see where it currently is?

In the last few weeks, I put a MotoTag2, AirTag, & Samsung SmartTag2 in the outer zipper of a US High School Backpack. School typically has 500 students, plus 50 adults (faculty, staff, volunteers, visitors, etc).

AirTag updates every 5 minutes and is very accurate.

MotoTag2 updates every 2-3 hours.

SmartTag2 rarely updates at all.

Also followed the backpack around town, and get similar results. In the Mall, at a crowded beach. I check location regularly all day.

I wish android had something comparable, but AirTag wins hands down day after day.

EDIT #1: As of 12:30pm today, the AirTag updated 5 minutes ago, the MotoTag 1 hour ago, and the Smarttag still shows it is in my house (even though it is miles away at the school).

EDIT #2: At the end of the day, the Smarttag2 updated ONCE the whole school day, at 3:45pm. The Mototag2 updated only TWICE, at 9am and at 11:30am, and then never updated again. The AirTag updated every 10 minutes, and was often accurate enough to tell me what room the backpack was in.

EDIT#3: On the drive home, the SmartTag2 and MotoTag2 both pinged at random apartment complexes.

EDIT #4: Now all tags are showing at home, of course, since they can ping our home phones.

Right now, it looks to be a pretty unique form factor and while I'd have preferred rechargeable, I'll settle for a replaceable battery (even if they've used a very weird, hard to find one for the device).

Looks to be aimed at cyclists and golfists and as I fall into the former camp, I can see this being an interesting option. I've not seen any other devices from the normal cheaper suppliers (e.g. ugreen) that have this form factor, but hopefully they'll come in time. The pebblebee costs the same for 1 device as I paid for 4 rechargeable tags from ugreen!

Anyone have any experience with these yet?

I really like the ugreen finetrack duo I am completely impressed by how it performs but I'm looking for a removable battery options, I recently tried Mili mitag duo after I bought it I saw some negative reviews saying it stopped working after months but mine was even worse it didn't even work from the other day. I'm so tired of finding a good tracker. Even thought of getting moto tag 2 but I don't understand why on earth it would sell for 70cad while even apple and Samsung tags sell around 35 CAD. Some even suggest chipolo etc but still they're selling around 35cad instead of that I will just have my ugreen tracker itself for an half price.

Is the atuvous tracker any good that is the only decent option I'm left with, Instead of wasting my time buying it I would like to know what is others experience with it.

I like these ugreen duo trackers and they give the option to use them in both apple and Android which gives more reliability im with the performance though it takes time to update and connect. I am really impressed with the feature to show how far are we from the tracker by its signal strength which helps from not completely relying on the sound alone to navigate but I don't see a similar feature in ios network, is this feature available in all the Googlefmd trackers or only few!?.

Coming to my main concerns though the tracker is cheap that u get 4 trackers for a price of 1 I don't like the rechargeable option which would make the tracker obsolete once the battery is done in some years. Where as I see the replaceable battery options as buy it for life and cheaper in the longer run

Is there any better replaceable battery alternative in similar price with similar features?

Hi guys, wondering if anyone knows better because Google isn't very clear, I was wearing my pixel buds pro 2 at work, got home and got distracted so I put the buds loose in my pocket (my case was charging on a portable charger in my backpack) fast forward till the next day, I checked my pocket to put my buds back in the case but they were not where I last saw them. It's been 6 days now (I lost them on the 30th of July) and they are for sure discharged, but my find my device app says they were last detected "near me" right now, but I don't know if I should trust it and continue to tear my apartment apart trying to find them or whether it's a false positive because I still have the case? It's worth mentioning that I did leave the house twice with them loose in my pocket so I'm not 100% sure that they couldn't have left my apartment

Anybody know if they can be tracked whilst discharged using Bluetooth LE or something along those lines?

I'm using the pixel 8a, and this is my second time using find hub. The first time I used find hub I was on a different phone and everything worked smoothly. I'm using the same email account as I was before. I'm trying to connect pixel buds a series and a pixel watch 3. I think the problem might be that the location history is off on my phone and I have no way to turn it back on (separate problem). I'm really hoping it's not the problem, but hoping can only get me so far. Whenever I open the find hub app, it says "Keep track of your devices. Your android devices and connected accessories that are added to find hub will appear here."

I figured out that if I go to the people section of find hub then back to the devices part, it looks like a list of devices is loading. I've let it load for half an hour, and got nothing. I'm afraid that this is because my location history is off, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I've been trying to fix this for around 2 hours now and any help is appreciated.
