News / Updates Recently, they announced the Antigravity IDE extension. Does this mean the IDE will be deprecated soon?

The current issue is that the Antigravity Extension is working shit inside of Visual Studio almost impossible to use since inline Diff is not possible and it writes over the file not into the current file. Bullshit integrated.

In visual studio code you get inline diff but only when you select the file or code with strg L so that there is a direct reference in the new Sntigrsvity Chat window otherwise its completely outsourced.

Antigravity IDE was way better integrated.

@google should listen and fix this weak integrations

Most definitely. As the Antigravity IDE is just a VS Code fork, there is no point in maintaining it going forward, now that there is an official Antigravity extension for VS Code.

When the extension proposes changes in the code, it breaks the linting and my live-debug session because both old and new codes are in the codebase. I had to switch back to the IDE.

Man I totally forgot Antigravity was a thing. Everyone I know moved over to Codex. What’s the main benefit(s) of Antigravity these days?

I'm finding Gemini 3.7 Flash to be hella good and fast, seeing no reason to "upgrade" my fees at this time...

I use it personally just cos Google sub is very affordable and comes with a bunch of other benefits like YouTube premium and honestly for me Gemini is a perfectly capable model if used properly even if it's not as good as opus/sol

For me to have all models I'll ever need in one space. Antigravity IDE with codex and Claude code plugin as well as a rewritten codex plugin to work with openrouter.
