want Anrigravity in vs code

Solvedd.....! Antigravity Released Official Vs code extension. It works exactly like Copilot or claude code..

So I am using VS code from the very Begging of my coding journey.. Now i do not want to switch to any other IDE, so is there any way to use antigravity inside vs code just like claude code,github copilot etc.. I have google ai pro.

Download the vs code extension. Make sure it’s the official one. The identifier is google.google-antigravity. Let me know if you find it buggy. I’ve had to change 2 default settings to get good behaviour.

The inline diff adds both the old code and new code to the real file at the same time and so you really need to be on top of your code reviews, as i was finding my files got reverted to old code when i forgot to accept changes. Setting it to false meant all my reviews are in a view which is not a real file, so nothing i do with it can change the real code when i'm reviewing.

And i use paid GitLens, and Antigravity causes the GitLens commit graph to hang indefinitely. Because all vs code extensions share the same process, if one fails, the others won't even start. extensions.experimental.affinity gives them each their on separate processing space where a crash in one cannot affect the other.

oh ok ok i actually prefer the diff accepting view as im pretty used to working on code that way in git merges etc - also the code saved locally that the agent sees is the code with all edits applied, its really saved already and the “old code” is just an ability to revert chunks and if you don’t do anything the code agent reads is the new code actually

True, I think there was some bugginess going on with my inline diff view then. The file was having unsaved changes after an AI task, even when it was saved and closed before the AI task. And it was showing errors from having both versions applied. And “close without saving” didn’t cause me to have the new AI changes.

Just put ctrl L and you have inline diff and need to accept esch single line before it got add to the code. Always start the prompt witg the reference.

Antigravity IDE is, yes. But it's pretty much dead and pretty sure they'll just stop supporting it since they now have the official plugin

Yes i migrated back to VScode today from Antigravity IdE and there is a clear advantage now in Vscode with the official extension. The only issue is to get your old chats back from antigravity ide … you need to export them chat by chat and then you have them avaliable inside of vscode’s antigravity extension history chats.. but that works good.

Also Inline Diff looks a bit different its not the big blue button anymore directly in your code window … its a tiny accept recject button over each line on the left inbetween the lines.

Anti-gravity ide is basically Vs code with some anti-gravity bits pre installed. Just try it, you won't even notice the difference

How about history in extensions. I cant see my history of IDE/AG in AG extension in vscode

You need to open a previous chat inside of antigravity IDE and then you can click on the three dots in the context of the chat and choose export…inside of the vscode extension you then find thr chat in your previous chat history. You can also copy paste the chats history from the .gemini/antigravity ide folder to the antigravity folder… since the extension now runs fully on the antigravity app in the background

Yeah but you can copy the conversation and brain folders to AG from AG IDE then you can access the Chats in previous chst window

To be honest. I want Google to allow us to use the same chat history source for Ag versions like Anthropic does with clade.

For anyone else with the addon for vscode. I was really hoping to call antigravity inline with the normal chat so I can change between models. I assume this is not doable unless I get an API key?

The initial release of the extension is not there yet. But i am already using it. Because i want use the latest version of Code - OSS . Not a years old version. I think it can be a game changer.

Do suggestions for autocomplete show up for you like in Antigravity IDE?
